Perplex lets you add or subtract 1 to any value on the dial. So if you have two Rookie Harley's on the board and your opponent has Unique Flash, you could perplex Flash's cost down to 99 points and then you could mind control him with out taking any damage since he is no longer over 100 pts.
Can you tell me where it is stated that it is only those 5 values? The reason I ask is because the PAC states any combat value, which can be taken a number of ways.
have you ever read the faq's sheet on the heroclix's website???
here's what the current faq's section for DC mentions:
Perplex
-Perplex does not require an action. Perplex can be used if the figure has 0, 1 or 2 action tokens, and can be used even after the figure has been given an action for the turn.
-Perplex requires a clear line of fire. It is not, however, a ranged attack action and therefore is not subject to restrictions specific to ranged attacks. Exception: when used against a soaring figure, Perplex is subject to the same half range reduction as a ranged attack (15)
-A figure with Perplex may use that power on itself.
-Perplex must be used either before or after another action. You cannot use Perplex in the middle of another action.
-Perplex can be stacked.
-Perplex can affect range, attack, defense, speed, and damage values.
Hope this clears your muddled thinking. BTW I do not mean to sound harsh by asking, or stating this info.
To TheFallenOne
It was a question and I was asking for people's thoughts not their insults. I am sure there is someone in a Firelord thread that you can go bother.
To Sazabi
I have read the FAQ's, as a matter of fact, I have read it many times.
My question is with their wording. It states: Perplex can affect range, attack, defense, speed, and damage values.
What it doesn't state is these are the only ones. People have question wording before, and that is all I am doing.
COMBAT VALUES
Each character has five combat values. Four of these values can change during the game: speed, attack, defense and damage. They are on the combat dial, and can be seen through the stat slot. The fifth value is range, which never changes and is printed on the base. Each value appears next to its symbol.
Also:
Line of Fire is not a Range Combat exclusive, it is a game concept that Range Combat happens to use: they are not one and the same.

You could still use Perplex on your own Stealthed figures. You just have to turn off Stealth for the turn. It will turn back on at the end of your turn. Remember, Stealth is an optional power.
