Without question - Los Lobos and the original. Plant seems to want to channel his 1969 self when he starts the verse. It was too reminiscent of the styling he used on the verse portion of Your Time Is Gonna Come, inflections and all.

Ya know; when these matches are my idea, more often then not, I really love both versions. So I have a real problem choosing between them. So I'll probably be dwelling on this a little longer and maybe seeing how this rolls out.

I like them both, but barely prefer the Cover - Robert Plant and The Band Of Joy. Los Lobos is one of my favorite bands, period, but today I like the cover better.

I feel dirty voting against Plant, but the crispier and raspier sound of Los Lobos just sounds better to me for this song.

An easy one for me. Not that Robert Plant's take on the song is a bad one, but I simply prefer the original sooooooo much more. In fact, I just put a Los Lobos in my top five of the first draft for the eventual '90s Rock Wars noms.

That said...

The Original -- Los Lobos for me, please!
