Ok this guy was the STAR on one of my last battles. He was tk'ed by deadman face to face with the Invaders team. All were sharing a 18 defense with the Defenders TA. I attacked 5 of them at once. First attack, hit. Makes me reroll. Second Attack ... BOX CARS, DOUBLE SIXES ! He dealt out 3 dmg to everyone. Classic moment in my heroclix gaming life :)
He never does anything great, but he's a pretty inexpensive addition to a team. Ranged Combat Expert and Sharpshooter frontloaded has a lot of damage potential, but his attack is low enough that you can't count on it to hit when you need it. His special power is super cute, but only occasionally useful. His keywords are pretty limited. Buyer beware, since you're paying 61 points for a lot of highly situational potential shenanigans, but if you can pull it off it's really fun and powerful.

Pretty good. I hate the regen because I haven't seen him use it in the comics and it isn't something he could use for 99% of his comic appearances. I'm also missing the Suicide Squad keyword and ta (for the Rogues to copy).
Still, this is a lot less over the top than his previous version and the boomerang power is both more useful and accurate than the last one.
Siderant: I'm not really a fan of sharpshooter on figures with RCE. Or rather, I'm not really a fan of sharpshooter allowing you to shoot figures up close. It gives figures like Captain Boomerang and Green Arrow 4 damage values up close. On the other hand, I like these figures having RCE and I like them being able to shoot around other figures. It's just the whole adjacent shots thing that's a problem.

This is a very specific version of Captain Boomerang based on his (short) time around after being resurrected at the end of Blackest Night. They all got regen. That is also why he doesn't have the TA.
Venue: The Gaming Goat in Elgin, IL. Find us in the WizKids event system.

Duh.
However, Captain Boomerang never used regen in the comics, even during Brightest Day. It's just on his dial to be on his dial.
I don't see why he wouldn't have the ta. Boomer teamed up with the Rogues immediately so he should at least have the Calculator ta.
I like the errada .....it makes this guy SOOO much more useful. Usually when a figure receives an errada they get nerfed to near uselessness. But the fact that his attack only hits opposing characters within the chosen squares opens up alot of tight quarters stealth busting potential. Not only does this guy clear out pesky stealth opponents in one large radius 6 square loop....but his friendlies can be in the way! I think sharpshooter is the icing on this australian cake. An opponent growing annoyed that his stealth characters are being obliterated by the masses with a single attack, will base captain in hopes of haulting his boomerangs path. Lol...of which captain boomerang will just use ranged combat expert in close quarters. I've never reached his regen click.....his dial is way to short and just like Solomon Grundy, tends to skip right over the chance to regenerate. But if he just happens to land on that last click.....it is a nice thought to beable to heal all the way to his top click.
I've used his boomerang s path special before, it wiped out batman and two other batman family figures. His rce qualifies him for feats that allow him to ignore stealth. (Trick shot I believe?) So that's two ways for him to fight off stealth. Which puts him in the rogues category of official stealth-buster.
WIN/LOSS: 2-1 Neat SP hindered by low combat values he has a real lack of synergy with paying for powers that lack any overlap. One could invest heavily in making this work or one could choose a better Digger.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
