Hey all, a somewhat noobish question for you. (Although I gotta say I've been learning a lot today here.)
If a piece has 2 Team Abilities printed on it, do they get to use both all the time?
For example, Superboy from DC 75th has the Superman Ally as well as the Titans team ability. So could I use Superboy to attack someone at range and ignore hindering terrain, and then with my next action, my adjacent Donna Troy can be assigned a power action to use the Titans ability and heal Superboy?
I searched the forums and the rulebook, and maybe I wasn't using the correct search terminology, and the only thing I could find in reference to having 2 TAs was on p.22 of the rulebook:
"If a character is a wild card in addition to another team
ability, being a wild card does not affect their ability to use
that other team ability in any way."
So since a character would be able to use their WC TA AS WELL AS their other TA, this would count as using both, so in my example, Superboy is able to use both during various times? (As long as all actions are legal, of course.)
If anyone knows a rulebook quote or a posting on the forum I need to be looking at, I'd appreciate it. Thanks all!
You can use two TA's at the same time. In your example you cannot use both at the same time because you simply can't use those to abilities in the same action. There is no restriction on using both or two different TA's in the same round though.
For example WoS Sandman has Spider-man TA and Sinister Syndicate. A common tactic is to wildcard him to Batman Enemy. In such a case you can share a SS ally's attack value with a Batman Enemy ally as long as they are properly lined up.
A = Batman Enemy Group 1: 7 Attack Value
B = Sandman : 9 Attack Value
C = Sinister Syndicate : 11 Attack Value
D = Batman Enemy Group 2: 6 Attack Value
E = Super-Man Ally or Ultimates TA
AAABCCCCDE
In the above example all the "A, B and C" figures can share the 11 attack value. However "D" is not adjacent to a Batman Enemy and will be stuck with a 6 attack value.
Using the same example, Sandman is going to make a ranged attack at an enemy in hindering terrain. Sandman takes the 11 av from his ally and Wildcards to Ultimates / Super-man Ally. Now he has a higher av and ignores the effects of hindering terrain.
Pretty much everything / anything about general heroclix is here.
I think Talia from Brave and the Bold is the only duo-TA'd clix that has some kind of restriction regarding her TA's....I think it has where her TA's can't be wildcarded or something of that nature....
Wait, I don't understand why his example doesn't work.
Superboy takes a power action and attacks. Next Donna troy takes her power action and heals superboy using titans team ability.
Two separate actions, I don't understand!
It is that his example does not work "at the same time". It works just fine, but the OP wanted to know if team abilities could be used at the same time and the Superman/Teen Titan example did not show it in action.

There are so few characters with multiple printed team abilities to begin with. But you are correct about Talia.
From the Player's Guide:
Quote
Undercover: Wild cards cannot copy team abilities from Talia.

He possesses both team abilities, so he is able to use both as appropriate. Your example would work just fine.
Ands the question isn't "where do the rules say you can do that?" but "where do they say you can't?" They don't.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
