So I searched through the first 10 threads that had telekinesis in the title and didn't find the answer to this so I thought I would ask as it came up at our venue last night.
Basically how does the range of telekinesis work.
I know it gives out a range of 8 square. But is that 8 squares TOTAL that you can move the figure or 8 squares around the TKer.

Give this character a power action and choose one of the following options. For all options, this character must have a clear line of fire to the target and the destination square (to which the target does not affect the line of fire). This character, the target and the destination square must each be 8 or fewer squares away from one another. For options 1 and 2, a target character would need to break away and ignores the effects of elevated and hindering terrain on movement (but does not ignore the effects of opposing characters on movement).
Basically the rule says they must be 8 squares from one another. Well character is 8 squares from TKer which is 8 squares from destination.
Example being this.
x x x F x
x x x T x
x x x D x
Could the Tker(T) pick up a friendly character(F) and move it to the destination(D)? Or would he only be able to move F to T?
Thanks for any help!

The maximum range for TK is 8 and the maximum squares moved is 8. Character F would end next to T. When the rules first came out I wal all excited thinking you could slingshot a brick from the back row into your opponents forces and it just does not work that way.

This is correct. You can move a total of 8 squares. you can not move beyond your 8 square range to do this.

For options 1 and 2, the path of movement is limited to 8 squares.

So F and D must be within 8 squares of each other.
TK does not use a printed value on the dial, so no, Perplex cannot help it. Perplex can only effect Movement, Attack, Defense, Damage and Range, none of which are used by TK.
