With Valentines Day a few days away, we all forget littel things and details we wish we could take back. With that being said, I thought we should tell about a time were your opponet handed it to you, because you, (for what ever reason) got distracted, were ill, got hungry, a headache or what ever that costed you the match. Here is my scenario
Me and my brothers love pissing each other off as much as possible while playing clix. My brother really got me yesterday, when I tried to use MM Wolverine and use running shot + psychic blast on his Apocalypse (with shape change sp). My brother waited untill after I moved before he declared a to use his shaped change. I was pissed when I realized that's when you declare it. Damn WOLVY. (rest of my team already used their action to get wolvy into posittion. He rolled a 6. and crushed me his turn turns.
I sometimes forget that running shot grants a free range action after a movment and RS isn't one sole action.


RUNNING SHOT Give this character a power action; halve its speed value for the action. Move this character up to its replacement speed value and give it a ranged combat action as a free action. This character must declare a target to which it can draw a clear line of fire from the square where it ends its move in order to use this power.

In the fantasy league on these boards I lost in 3 rounds in the playoffs with a great Legion team. I was busy at work, and needed to post a turn, so I thought "Ah I'll do it quick". I noticed that OOtS Batman had been left open - Charge in with Young Superman, perplexed up to it - Meteorite - roll a hit ... roll a 6 on Meteorite ... whoo hoo I'm going to cripple the opposing team!

Then I noticed Batman had protected. :|

And as i said ... 3 turns later I resigned the field.

ok, so i just bought a couple boosters of Secret invasion and i got Magus and Dr. Strange in a pack, and Adam Warlock in another. My firend kept telling me how AWESOME Dr. Strange was, and growing up, Infinity Watch was one of my favortie comics, so naturally i was stoked about Warlock and Magus.
my buddy brought a team over one night and a few other random pieces and a couple maps. well, he loves 300 point golden age style, and i just was dying to use warlock and magus, so i talked him into playing a 500 pointer on the FF starter map, the Doom's castle i think it is, with the force field lines in the center.
to get to 500 points, with what he had here, he used like the Susan Richards chase, Hercules, i think he had Scarlett Witch in there, and a few more i cant remember. between hercules and Sue Richards and that dang force field, i dont hink i did more then 2 clicks of damage, and i think it was to She-Thing, before he ANNiHILATED me. i was more happy just to be able to use Warlock and Magus. now that i think about it, maybe we had to go 600 points, but for a ragtag bunch of stuff he just happened to have on him, it was devastating.
