Ahem! I happen to think Bob Dylan is amazing and I have a lot of company including an incredible guitar prodigy named Kenny Wayne Shepard.

Saying Bob hasn't had an impact on music would be ignorant of me. He has, I just don't prefer his vocals as opposed to Noah Hunt.

Bob's vocal styling is an aquired taste as is Neil Young's. I got used to them early on though. Right now I'm struggling with Tom Waits.

I'll take any of them over that nonsense everybody does for industrial metal though.

Both are acquired tastes. I could see Bob singing to this.

And I actually don't mind Neil Young's vocals.

See I could possibly enjoy that if somebody would just make that lead singer shut his pie hole.

I think Bob singing on the track could sway your vote.

That song sounds better but Dylan could write circles around them lyrically.

Wow, never thought I would hear that! While its true that Bob Dylan writes the phenomenal songs and lots of people prefer others to sing them, I think there's plenty of love/worship to go around for him. I thought about reporting this offensive post, but restrained myself.

That said I prefer to listen to the cover by Kenny Wayne Shepherd.

And I was kidding about reporting the post.

Bob Dylan's voice is like the taste of whiskey, sure you squint your face at first but on the third go round you're thinking, "this is really good and I'm starting to feel very warm inside and I have no idea how many fingers you're holding up."

I liked both. I've been listening to quite a bit of Buck and Skynyrd today so in a tough call I'm going with Kenny Wayne Shepherd.

Kenny Wayne Sheperd's is rockin'. Dylan's version is more bluesy. I could see my vote flip-flopping on this one depending on my mood, but I think more often than not, I'd be in the mood for Dylan's original.

An easy vote for Kenny Wayne Shepards version, as Bob Dylan should never, ever, sing.
