Thanks! I had looked at the Glenn Tipton cover, along with several others, and had actually found one by GOB I thought you might like. I didn't realize there were so many covers.

I'd post a picture of me and Glenn Tipton to add to the fun, but I don't know how to do it (post a pic from my desktop).

Since I lost my Adamintium (sp?) level, the only thing I know to do is put it in an album and post a link. But sometimes I'm a bit challenged by all the Realms features.
Johnny Lang can be good but I think I'll stick with the original for this match.

Paint It Black was the first 45 RPM I ever got. My Dad bought it for me at a department store in Memphis, where I grew up. (Memphis, not the department store!). A least he got me started on the right foot with music!
Some days I might prefer to listen to the cover by Johnny Lang, but really, I prefer the original by the Rolling Stones.
Gotta say, I love and prefer The Original -- The Rolling Stones, but Johnny Lang does a fine job and the covers are good to hear.
On that note, a friend and fellow British Invasion fanatic gives the edge to a "Paint It, Black" cover by Chris Farlowe which he has as a UK-released single (dunno if it was released here). CF may have done more covers of Stones songs than anyone.
For what it's worth, I think he recorded THE version of another Stones original, "Out of Time." It's simply incredible and even better than the original, IMHO.
Anyway...since we're passing around covers of "Paint It, Black," here's Chris Farlowe's version from the '60s...
