Hindering Terrain..and me looking stupid again

if you are shooting over more then 1 hindering terrain spaces.. do they stack as rule of 3 ?? adding 3 to the defense of the character being attacked?

No. It doesn't matter how many squares of hindering terrain LOF passes through. You only get +1 to the defense modifier.

No, you only get the hindering bonus once.
