Will the AE Hal Jordan lead to retroactive updates to the AE mechanic?
I know that, for now, we use what is on the cards but I need to ask, since AE Hal Jordan's AE power action does not cause pushing damage, will the previous AEs be updated with this in the upcoming PG? This would certainly help in making them more playable particularly in Modern where the Phone Booth object is bidding adieu.
Hal has his own special power, other AEs have their own special powers. There is no reason to believe that they would go back and give errata to mechanics that function like they did when they were designed.

Hal doesn't push due to his Indomitable, not the AE write-up.
Are you a PbP'r (Play By Poster)? Come and check out www.creationmatrix.com; we've got EVERYTHING.
I think it has more to do with the fact that it's Hal, not that it's an AE. Green Lantern Corps is based around "willpower", so it makes sense to not have Hal push when changing.

I suggest you read the card on the AE Hal. It specifically states on the Alter Ego sp, and I quote: "No pushing damage is dealt by this power." It says nothing about the fact that the Green Lantern figure has Indomitable.
I don't expect (and honestly wouldn't want) a retroactive change to previous AE figures. Sometimes it's just better to leave a somewhat-difficult-to-play figure as they are. A good 50% (if not more) of Alter Ego figures play great and can be a competitive part of a team.

It says "caution: Hot coffee" on Mcdonald's coffee cups but people still burn themselves. Having indomitable keeps him from receiving pushing damage but just in case, it also says it on the powers description.

But it's two separate things. If his Indomitable was Outwitted and he used his AE special power he still would not take pushing damage based on the wording of the power.

The Indomitable on the Green Lantern character couldn't be outwitted because that character wouldn't have been on the map during your opponents previous turn.

Its not on there because people "might" burn themselves, its on there because when it wasnt, people burned themselves on purpose so they could sue.
This is on the card because Wiz-Kids likes to be either obtuse or redundant.

I think they were just answering the inevitable question before it was asked.
right on!! yes, it will be asked and honestly, hal jordan does not have indomitable to outwit so when the AE power is used it will lead into green lantern with indomitable, hence the lack of push damage.

that's not true:
"Speed - Alter Ego: Green Lantern: Give Hal Jordan a power action, and replace this character with a GL #001 Green Lantern on its orange starting line. Existing action tokens on this character and action tokens for this action are applied to the replacement. No pushing damage is dealt by this action. "
updated: Hal wouldn't push because of Kovacs/Rorschach ruling, but if say Hal was errata'd to be able to AE to some other new Green Lantern fig without Indomitable there wouldn't be pushing damage because of Hal's AE wording.

it's there to avoid the possibility of being sued, thats true. The answer that will be given now to the person that spills it on themselves and tries to sue is: "we told you ahead of time, it's written on the cup". I'm not saying anyone will sue if they somehow take damage from the push, but "we told you ahead of time, it's written on the card".

The #002 Hal if he were like other AE figs with one token he would push to AE, because it's his fig making the power action to AE. The fig he is AE'ing to has nothing to do with it.
Token is given at the end of an action which is when it would push. If Hal uses the AE power he ends that action as Green Lantern who has indomitable. I think he is the first AE to transform into a figure with indomitable.
ACTION TOKENS
When you give a character any action (other than a free action – see page 8), give the character an action token as the action resolves and put it near the character’s base on the map. You can use any small object, such as a coin or bead, as an action token. A token reminds all players that a character has been given an action.
WILLPOWER This character may ignore pushing damage.
