I voted for Free, but my real vote would have to go to Terence Trent D'Arby. I know, totally different songs, but it's what I immediately thought of when I saw this thread.

Wow, Terence Trent D'arby - Wishing Well, soundtrack of my life - dated an actress back when that was released.

Of these I prefer the Original, Paul Rodgers and Free. This is a favorite all time song, and this is the rare case where I love hearing it by almost any talented band.

The one I've enjoyed more over the years is Blackfoot:
