ok so im having abit of a debate with my mate atm about whenever you are still allowed to roll for shape change when an opposing character with battlefury is making an attack vs WL Flash.

I read somewhere that you can still make the roll for Shape Change, though Battle Fury would ignore the power, and if you roll a 5-6 you get the 1 heal from the Special Power?

My friend believes that Battle Fury ignores Shape Change in the way that you don't get to make the roll for it?

What is the correct rules for this? Is it written anywhere in black and white what the ruling is or is there a general concensus of what people agree on?

i would think ignore means ignore but apparently WL Superman still gets his SP roll even when attacked by EW or PB so i dunno

Yes, battlefury will ignore shape change; but it does not prevent the roll of shape change. So a battle fury figure can still WL Flash, but the WL Flash can still roll shape change and has a 33% chance of healing 1 point.

2: he still has the power, it is not countered so he can still roll for SC but the attacking figure would not care and still be able to attack.

It is how the powers are worded. Battlefury ignores shape change; but it does not prevent it. So you can roll for shape change against battlefury and even if you succeed, the Battlefury character ignores the result and attacks the shape changer any ways. But in the case of WL Flash facing someone with Battlefury, the Battlefury character ignores the result of the dice but if WL Flash is successful he can still heal a click of damage (I think before the attack, but it could be after).

Yes you can roll the Shape Change. It won't prevent the attack, but on the 5-6 roll, Flash would heal 1 Damage.

here is a better question.

Clix A has flurry and battle fury.
Clix B has shapechange.

A flurries on B. Does B still get the roll for shape change? Lets assume he can and successfully rolls his shapechange. It is ignored by battle fury. What if Clix A takes damage from his own attack (Mystics, critical miss, trait whatever) and loses battle fury yet Flurry is still there would he be able to attack again?

I'm not a rules expert, but I'm pretty sure that Flurry is too separate attacks (since it's 2 attack rolls). Therefore, if he somehow took damage after the first attack, but before the second and lost battlefury (which I'm not even sure if that's possible), he would NOT ignore the results of Shape Change.

The only thing I'm not 100% is if he would take something like Mystics damage before the second attack, since I believe it's part of the same action.

Yes, if you keep Flurry but lose battle furry the target would get to roll for shape change on the second hit.
