You can play as many of a non-Unique figure as you want.

As long as it is not unique, you can play multiples of the same figure.

It's also important to note that uniqueness has several factors to it.

A unique is defined by:
Name
Set Symbol
Collector's number
Metallic ring

You could, for example, play the unique Thanos from Infinity Challenge on the same team as the unique Thanos from Supernova.
While they have the same name and silver ring, they have different set symbols and numbers.

You could even play the unique Dr. Doom from the FF Starter on the same team as the unique Dr. Doom from the Heroclix Classics set. The one is a reprint of the other, but the differing set symbol and number mean they can be played together.
