Things to remember:

2) When you vote, please do so by saying Vote: [Player] in bold. If you wish to change your vote, please say Change Vote: [Player] instead. Voting for 'Nobody' is a valid vote; if a majority votes for 'nobody' then nobody will be lynched and we'll move on to the Night phase. You can vote for yourself if you choose, so be careful when leaving your vote with another player.

3) If your role says you -may- PM me a target, you don't have to do anything at night. Even so, it'll speed things along quite a bit if you'd still just send me a PM saying "Not using my [whatever] power tonight, thanks."

4) If your role says you -must- PM me a target, and you do not? I'll pick one randomly. Or, perhaps, not-so-randomly. Don't blame me if you target someone who kills you.

5) You may NOT send a PM to anyone about this game unless your role explicitly says you can. This is cheating.

6) Do NOT edit your posts in this thread. This is cheating.

7) Please do not copy-and-paste anything from any PM I send you to the thread. This is also cheating.

8) Please do not post in this thread after you are killed. This, too, is cheating and can ruin the game if done wrong.

9) Cheaters may or may not get to play in other mafia games I run. It depends on the severity of the offense.

10) Remember, it's just a game. You will get paranoid, you will be stabbed in the back by someone, you will see somebody do or say something stupid and want to smack them. Just breathe deep and relax. If things get out of hand, we do have a mod playing who will forcibly remind you to chill out if needed. It hasn't happened yet, and I'd like to keep it that way.

11) If you are inactive for more than two phase cycles, I will automatically look to replacing you. If I cannot find a replacement, I will start selecting random targets for you.

One more thing, and this is HIGHLY important...

Do NOT talk about this game until the entire game has ended. Death does not necessarily mean game over unless your character is removed from the game.

Night 0... The End of Peace

My name is Rock, but you might know me best as Megaman. I was created as a lab assistant for Dr. Thomas Light. He and his partner, Dr. Albert Wily, created 6 more robots like me. They each had their purpose, their place in society. They were an attempt to make the lives of humans easier. Unfortunately, Dr. Wily would search for alternative ways to use these creations. He made them evil.

Dr. Light altered me so that I could stand up against these threats. While I was successful in stopping my brothers, Dr. Wily would not give up so easily. He would continue on, creating more and more "brothers" to try to take over the world with. Every time he unleashed his new creations, I would be there to stop him.

Finally, Dr. Wily reached the end of his maniacal genius. The world was at peace, and Dr. Light, my sister Roll, Rush... all of us could rest knowing the fight was over. But Dr. Light's work would never end until his life did. As such, he continued his research and eventually created an enhanced version of me. It was odd enough to see myself being born, but I fell into the mindset that I wasn't just seeing another me being born... I was seeing a better me being born.

Everything I could do, X could do. X could do it better, actually. But Dr. Light wasn't so certain he would be a safe creation. He initiated preventive measures to ensure that X's free will would remain in tact and true to form. Dr. Light sealed X away for 30 years, long enough to ensure the program's fail safe. Neither of us would last long enough to see X truly being born...

A long time later, Dr. Cain stumbled upon X. Researching his programing and Dr. Light's notes, Dr. Cain took a chance and opened him. Convinced that X was the wave of the future, Dr. Cain attempted to replicate his programming to create a new robot that he called a reploid. His first creation was Sigma, one of the most powerful reploids that would ever be created. As Dr. Cain created more reploids, he didn't take into account the preventative measures that were used in the creation of X. Some of the reploids turned on the humans, going Maverick. Dr. Cain did what he thought was best at the time: He created the Maverick Hunters, led by his most powerful creation Sigma.

After a short time, the worst outcome happened. Sigma went rogue and became a Maverick. To complicate matters, Sigma began to turn other reploids against the humans, and now he is perfecting a virus that will ensure all reploids turn. His goal is to annihilate all of the humans and raise an army of reploids to create total destruction.

I watch over my "Brother" X as he and his fellow Maverick Hunters fight against Sigma and the Mavericks. If only I could help... but my days of sliding and mega-busting are long since passed. My story has ended, but the Story of X has just begun...

K-Ness has left the game! He was Rockman, AKA Megaman, a robot from the past who fought hard his entire life... hopefully to help make a difference.
