I dunno man, if I have to see how bad GI Joe was one more time when I watched it religiously as a kid, I may have to claw my eyes out Don't get me started on Spider-man either :P BLECH!
I dunno... I still kinda like the old Marvel Super Heroes cartoons from the sixties.
You know, the ones where there was little or no actual animation? Mostly just moving cutouts around on backdrops? Kind of like what South Park would look like if Jack Kirby drew everything? And the dialogue was lifted largely straight from the original comics!
I hated those when I was a kid. The animation stunk. Now, it's kind of like watching Flash-animated versions of classic Marvel comics...:cross-eye
You got class, podnuh. What the hell you need with notoriety?
Sung in a high tenor with guns shooting and bombs burtsting in the back ground:
When Captain America throws his mighty Shield!!!
etc etc.
Yeah I remember a few of those. All I can remember was a hulk one where I thought it was so cool how they looked so similar to the to the comic and the first words to that tune I mentioned above. Can anyone find wav files or mp3s of those theme songs? those were so corny they were great.
Yes, but you're a surrealist! I'm a normal guy!
Gil Zoo Crew or bust!
I found alot of the 60's Marvel cartoons at DragonCon and bought 5 volumes of Spiderman and a few volumes of Namor, Ironman, Captain America, and the Hulk. I watch them from time to time. I think they are beautiful. I love Kirby's art in them...
