I was wondering, does this piece drop his shield when he is KO'd? If the piece is KO'd and the shield was already detached is it removed from the game when he is removed?

I tried doing a search I couldn't find anything on the forums about this, sorry if I overlooked.

he starts the game holding it, but it doesn't say anything about it leaving the map when he's KOd. it also looks like you'll drop it if KOd, like normal objects.

looks like you gain permanent spot of hindering when he's KOd.

you have to remove it because anyway nobody except this cap can hold the shield

DiscoHippo is correct. Not having anyone who can use the shield is irrelevant. There is nothing in the game text to suggest the shield should be removed from the game when Cap is KOd, so treat it like any other object.

That answers that question, you can TK with it because you are not actually picking it up you are moving it (or something along those lines), check the link I provided it should help.

There is no restriction on using the object for TK. However, whether anyone can use it or not is irrelevant to whether it would be removed from the field.

According to the link I posted I think the only way to remove it is with Kitty Pryde because she "removes it" rather than "destroys it."

No, there are numerous abilities that remove objects. Kitty Pryde is a right fine way to be rid of the thing, but so is Phantom Girl and Nanobots. (Nanobots only works if the shield isn't being held, of course.) There are a few other ways as well, but those are the ones that spring to mind first.

No, The Shield would be dropped into the square Cap was occupying, just like any other object.
