let's say you use cap's running shot, and after ending the move, you end beside falcon, can you use falcon's trait to add 1 to cap's attack value for the attack? or you have to add 1 before using running shot at all? (just like perplex..)

Yes, u have to end next to each other... I like how you can use his trait with Black Captain America from SI and Bucky Cap, but not The Captain or Steve Rogers...

I had this same question, and the mod's answer was basically this:
Since there is no wording to give specific times that the modification happens, then it only happens if they are adjacent when you make the attack roll.

1) Running shot runs you next to Falcon----yes you get it.
2) Start next to Falcon and Running shot out of adj---no you don't.

I know what he's saying. Since he doesn't seem to like the wording, I'm asking him if he has a better way to do it.

Look, it's an ongoing issue. People get upset when any game effect refers to a specific character and someone who IS that character doesn't get the benefit because the name on the dial is different or does give the bonus to someone who ISN'T the intended character.

But there was no good solution to this problem before cards, and they didn't give a "real identity" field on the cards either...

Yea, we have character cards now, "...gets a +1 if he is adjacent to a fig named 'Steve Rogers' on the back of their character card"... sorry Golden Age, ur not welcome...

Comic-accuracy is something worthy of interest and any effort made to make the game closer to the comics is good, but this must not go against playability. If you want to be as close as the comic-feel as you can you might want to try a roleplaying game (a game where anything is possible). This is a board game : it should be easy of access and fun. If comic-accuracy goes against that, screw comic-accuracy.

Can we get everyone to start calling "Armpit Cap" and Falcon when they are played together "Captain Falcon"? When they hit with close combat attack, you have to yell "Falcon Punch!"?

Add the Marvel Handbooks and encyclopedias and DC Who's Who, DC Secret Origins and various DC Encyclopedias to the heroclix documentation

All told, that won't add more than approximately 6-7 feet of bookshelf space to Heroclix
