2) When you vote, please do so by saying Vote: [Player] in bold. If you wish to change your vote, please say Change Vote: [Player] instead. Voting for 'Nobody' is a valid vote; if a majority votes for 'nobody' then nobody will be lynched and we'll move on to the Night phase. You can vote for yourself if you choose, so be careful when leaving your vote with another player.
3) If your role says you -may- PM me a target, you don't have to do anything at night. Even so, it'll speed things along quite a bit if you'd still just send me a PM saying "Not using my [whatever] power tonight, thanks."
4) If your role says you -must- PM me a target, and you do not? I'll pick one randomly. Or, perhaps, not-so-randomly. Don't blame me if you target someone who kills you.
5) You may NOT send a PM to anyone about this game unless your role explicitly says you can. This is cheating.
6) Do NOT edit your posts in this thread. This is cheating.
7) Please do not copy-and-paste anything from any PM I send you to the thread. This is also cheating.
8) Please do not post in this thread after you are killed. This, too, is cheating and can ruin the game if done wrong.
9) Cheaters may or may not get to play in other mafia games I run. It depends on the severity of the offense.
10) Remember, it's just a game. You will get paranoid, you will be stabbed in the back by someone, you will see somebody do or say something stupid and want to smack them. Just breathe deep and relax. If things get out of hand, we do have a mod playing who will forcibly remind you to chill out if needed. It hasn't happened yet, and I'd like to keep it that way.
11) If you are inactive for more than two phase cycles, I will automatically look to replacing you. If I cannot find a replacement, I will start selecting random targets for you.
One more thing, and this is HIGHLY important...
Do NOT talk about this game until the entire game has ended. Death does not necessarily mean game over unless your character is removed from the game.
Beings of immeasurable power fighting each other out of fear, there could be no deciding winner in such a battle. The three beings would become known as the Warring Triad.
Within the war-torn world, ravaged people hoping that the Gods of Magic would cease their engagements were caught up within the battle. They were transformed into Espers, powerful beings of magic. The Espers would become the pawns of the Warring Triad, used to perform the actual fighting on the surface of the world. The conflict became known as the War of the Magi.
In a turn of realization, the Warring Triad understood that this dispute could not continue. To prevent the destruction of the world, the three released the Espers from their command, bestowing free will to the beings of magic. The three then sealed their own power and locked themselves into stone. The Espers took the three statues to a new world and set them in place to generate a balance among the three. Sealed away and positioned with care, if the three statues were ever to be moved, the balance of power would shift and the World of Balance would be thrust into ruin.
Time passed, and the Espers had long since became legend. The magics the world once knew were gone, belonging only to the myth and lore of the past. Though some descendents of the ancients did remain, the overall power of the humans were not so significant. One man would go on to research these remaining magical beings, and one girl in particular would hold more secrets than any other.
Emperor Gestahl, in his rediscovery of the existence of magical forces, used this girl to help expand upon his vision and reach his dream. Breaking into the Esper world, Gestahl was able to begin capturing and processing the Espers. By draining their powers and lifeforce, he was able to convert the powerful Espers into magicite, stones infused with the power of the Esper that humans could then use. Emperor Gestahl used this power to increase the strength of his own personal forces.
Using the girl even further, Gestahl would seek out Espers that fled from their world to the World of Balance. Kefka, merely a court jester for Gestahl, discovered the existence of the Warring Triad. Though still under the rule of the Emperor, Kefka began his plans to revive the Warring Triad and bring the ultimate power under his command. Kefka set out on his own plans to make himself a god.
Banon, a holy man, took up lead for the Returners, a band of underground resistance that would rise against Gestahl and his quest for power. These Returners would be the World of Balance's only hope for keeping order. The Returners would stand at the ready, recruiting anyone who was willing to maintain order and defy the Emperor's maniacal efforts. Together, the Returners would rise above Gestahl... and 14 of them could become the Warriors of Light, the beacon of hope for the World of Balance.

"CHARGE! DO NOT YIELD! WE CAN OVERPOWER THIS BEING! CAPTURE HIM, FOR THE EMPEROR!" The general proclaimed. His men rushed forward, brandishing varied arms against a giant, almost-living castle. The castle began to twist and turn, rising above in a battle stance. The general's soldiers stopped rushing. Many dropped their weapons and turned. Others stood frozen in fear.
The castle began to speak. "I am Alexander, Holy God of Light. I am the way of truth, the epitome of purity. Demons of the World of Balance, begone with you. I do not wish to bring harm, though I shall preserve the safety of this world with all my might." Some soldiers still pressed forward with their attacks. The size of this being put the soldiers at a disadvantage. It almost appeared as if the efforts were futile. How could humans win against a god like this? Alexander could show no expression on his face, though his hesitation to fire upon the men was indicative of his feelings for the situation. As more men started to come up, it was a feeling of despair for the souls of the people who had come to this world. Alexander was left with only two choices. He knew how many more of the Espers would suffer if this was allowed to continue on. He could not stand idly by based on his own convictions. He knew what he should do. No one could pass judgment on him for his decision that day. After all, judgment was for Alexander and Alexander alone.
Brandishing a series of weapons from within his castle frame, Alexander leaned forward and fired off brilliant beams of light that filled the sky. "May my Holy Judgment deliver you from the world of evil so that you may find your way to the eternal light." the light arced down, ouring from the sky upon the soldiers. Most were vaporized instantly. Others were burned more slowly.
Wave upon wave of soldier advanced, using their magitek and more primitive weapons, eventually overcoming the Esper. Though he was mighty and formidable in every effort, Alexander could not withstand a continual assault. The disdain for life that the Emperor carried in his quest for power broke the spirit of Alexander. How could one be so cold and hungry for power? Though his efforts were valiant and delivered with the noblest of intentions, Alexander released one final blast from within himself until he succumbed to the Emperor's forces.
Excited at the new powers of judgment that would at his disposal, Gestahl wanted to waste no time processing this new Esper. If the Gods themselves could not stand against such maniacal forces, perhaps the Warriors of Light could... Only time would tell...
K-Ness has been killed! He was Alexander, the Esper of Holy Magic. His Holy Judgment would rain down upon all, eradicating all evil that would overstep the boundaries of the world.
