O.k. If you have Beast Boy, and he picks up The Crimson Gem Of Cytorak right? What happens when he changes into an animal or dino for that matter? Does he get the stat bump, toughness, and charge? Does he drop it? Or, does it only work when Beast Boy is on the board?
I imagine that since you "Replace" the figure, you likewise "Replace" the card. The character game effects still exist, right? like outwitting and such (for things that overlap). So the gem should transfer to the new card you're using. It's been picked up by the character, the character has not met any of the requirements for the gem to go back on the board, and it refers in all ways to the name of the new character. I can't imagine that they'd rule that it doesn't transfer, but then, I've been proven wrong before.
If a character has activated a long-lasting game effect
when it is replaced for another (i.e., Alter-Ego, Morph,
etc.) the new character continues the effect only if the
new character also can use that effect

Mighty Morphin Beast Boy can Gem/Key/Hammer it up with any of his replacement characters.

I think Beast Boy should drop whatever special object he's picked up when he Morphs into the T-Rex.
Just think about it! If he has the Gem, Super Strength sure is nice, but how will he carry any objects to bash people with? It would hurt a lot more to be bitten by a T-Rex than to have him hit you with a manhole cover or broken Doom statue pieces that he's holding in his mouth!
And Mjolnir? How's he going to effectively swing that around with those stubby little arms of his?
Madness!
T-Rex: I have a big head and little arms. I'm just not sure how well this plan was thought through.
The gem could be swallowed! It is magical in nature. I don't think that Juggy even caries it in his hand or pocket! Also, we r talking about reality. Big head and little arms don't matter in game mechanics..

Tell that to the giant that can't use the Carry ability.
Even ZZZAX, a giant consisting of electricity can carry his buddies
I just wished they had kept up the Morph power with other forms of Beast Boy. I know there are still figures to see from Super Man, but, there won't be any more DC sets for a while. They could have done a Congorilla/Congabill Morph/Alter Ego set, then, used the Gorilla form for another Beast Boy.
Who else would be good for the Morph power? I see it as figures that change their form throughout a battle instead of staying in one form for the whole battle (which is good for Alter Egos)
Chameleon from the Legion of Super Heroes
Hank Pym as Giant/Ant-man, or even Yellowjacket. (But would be good as an A/E)

It would great to get a Plastic Man with different forms that can use the morph power.
