I have heard that street fighter isnt legal in modern age builds. if this is true may i assume that all simular sets (i.e. gears of war, halo ect...) aren't or won't be modern age legal as well?
Apparently Street Fighter will be Modern Age legal soon too.
lol, I guess there was a miscalculation there. I remember the reasoning behind making it only Marvel and DC... which is so players don't get alienated.
I thought it made sense too because there are those purists who think it should only be Marvel and DC and including Indy would alienate them.
I think what was missed was that demand for Indy would decrease if they are not included in Modern Age.
I know that at least one person told me that he is holding off on getting SF, GoW, and Halo because they are not Modern Age legal and that the priority is in getting those pieces that are.
The article did not say that SF would be Modern Age legal...
What it said is that next year's second SF set will be Modern Age Compatible...
I wouldn't take this to mean that they will now be included in Modern Age. Wait for the set, wait for the announcement.

That's a completely meaningless bit of word parsing. The figures are already HeroClix compatible. The only thing they need to do to make them Modern Age is to list the set as legal in the player's guide.
The next version of the Tournament rules will stipulate that Street Fighter is Modern Age legal.
Definitive enough?
For the internet? Heck no.
Vulture: I'll drop you from the sky and watch you drop like a rag doll! Spider-Man: And this'll be when? After Ock rips me limb from limb? Or after Venom eats my brains? Oh, I almost forgot; he also has dibs on my spleen...

Not remotely. What do you mean by "tournament" rules? It's ambiguous whether that refers to the Comprehensive Tournament Rules document or not. "Stipulate" isn't a defined game term. All Street Fighter sets or just the next one? Do you mean all street Fighter or just Street Fighter HeroClix releases? Does it depend on what the meaning of "is" is?"
But, seriously, yay-or-nay on Gears and similar products would be nice.

(even though I dont care for GoW. SF, or HaloClix)
I am not actually sure what rule it is that is preventing some of them from being legal right now in Modern Age.
I understand SF not being legal, but (its published by UDON)...
Are you 100% sure that HaloClix is not legal? As it turns out, it was actually published as a Marvel Comic written by Michael Bendis (so are you sure that HaloClix is not actually Marvel HeroClix)?
Also as it turns out GoW was published under Wildstorm which under the new 52 is actually now been folded into DC Comics...so GoW Clix is actually DC Clix is it not?
To further the point on GoW take a look at the comic cover (top left corner of the comic) and you will see its a bonafide DC comicbook....
