THE SHIELD (LIGHT OBJECT): The Shield can't be destroyed, only #CA040 Captain America can hold or pick up The Shield. When used in a ranged attack, Captain America may target two characters and deals 3 damage to each hit character. After any attack using The Shield involves, place it in a square adjacent to a target's square. This object does not count toward your force.
Is there any way to increase the damage of Caps shield?
Yeah have Magneto throw it.

I am not following this one....How does changing the SHILED from a 3 Damage Light Object to a 3 Damage Heavy Object help?
What am I missing?
Unless of course you are referring to Close Combat Attacks.

High Gravity will not help Cap #40 when throwing his shield.

It won't work for close combat attacks either, because Captain America does not use the shield in close combat attacks.
So, I'm not sure where he was going with that one, but the only way I see in which High gravity would help would be if you then used another character to throw the shield with telekinesis.

No, since Enhancement works only when you do a ranged combat attack with your printed damage, not with an object's damage.
An object isn't an adjacent friendly character's damage value.
The damage value would be 3. The adjacent friendly character would be Captain America.
Enhancement states:
When an adjacent friendly character is making a ranged combat attack, this character may modify the adjacent friendly character’s damage value by +1 once for the attack.
Captain America's SP:

It doesn't say anywhere that "damage" cannot be modified. The damage value is 3. Value is simply a noun that defines an amount of something.

You are correct. It never says the damage can't be modified, however, in terms of the question in the OP, when using objects in a ranged attack, the damage value of the figure never comes into play. Lights deal 2, heavies deal 3. Ergo, yes, enhancement would modify Cap's damage value by +1 when he throws the shield, but because the object deals a set amount of damage, it will still deal what a light object normally deals; 2.
Also 'damage value' is a specific term in heroclix that refers to one of the printed values on a figure's dial. Its in the glossary.

An excellent and correct answer.
I'm not quite sure why it was necessary to necro a thread in order to provide a wrong answer when the correct one had already been given.

The judge tonight and the judge last night both agreed with me. A light object thrown is how many damage? 2. Caps shield is how many? Not 2. What is caps range? 0. Whats his range for this attack? 8 I also perplexed up his range to 10 to surprise the crud out of my opponent in both games.
Guess I wasn't wrong after all (@ least in my case).
Any "game" where there is a judge, is hard to be wrong. Hence the word "judge".
