This guy isn't getting much attention because he can't move mountains and level cities, but he is incredibly playable. a 11 range swing with a 3 damage, 10 attack, and psychic blast for under 100 points is amazingly good. This is ignoring that he also is a wild card, has pulse wave, and a 19 defense from range. He's flat out one of the most playable pieces for his cost in the whole set. And in a set of people in his price range with heavy damage reducers and only 6-7 clicks, he'll be potent indeed.
Penetrating Psychic Blast and Pulse Wave alone is great, add Running Shot on top of that makes it even better. Sun Boy is going to be a little known fave in a set full of damage reducers.

although comparing him to much of the rest of the set, hes not that great
I played this guy in a pick up game after a sealed tournament. 400 points legion team with wildfire, brainiac, and 100pt supergirl and he was the MVP. He rolled a crit hit when using pulsewave twice. Simply put he is awesome.
Well the bank won't give me credit because i'm a bad risk and I don't pay my bills on time. So I have to work for what I have!
Sun Boy is able to devastate groups with pulse wave, or tentpole pieces with PB, and at his point value, you wont want to forget him on your LoSH teams.
I think he's going to be an awesome figure to pull in your sealed boosters. Nothing says kick in the head like shaving three points off of your opponent's one-man-army with one attack, and the fact that he gets Pulse Wave too out of the same power is just icing on the cake. He gets better in constructed, where you can pair him with whatever team ability your little heart desires. And he only costs 79 points. I'd definitely keep at least two, just in case you need the extra penetrating damage on the cheap.
MAN!! the sun will come out tomorrow!! played him in sealed today with matter eater lad and supes at 150pts! as it's been stated, he's a monster for what he brings to the table. he continued to hit ppl even though he was on an 8av. he ended up helping kill black adam in one game, and in another crippled zod and lex! i came in second and quickly picked superman beyond(yay). those two will be teaming up VERY SOON!
@antonio.clark.art is my instagram.take a look and tell me what you think....be blessed!!!
So good. Fighting a brick? PSYCHIC BLAST! Fighting a swarm or being based? PULSE WAVE! Encountering any situation ever? BE A WILD CARD! So many options. Energy Shield that transitions into Poison is funny. His stats aren't great, but with everything else he has who cares about stats?:)

If you can't hit, you can't hit. Sun Boy's a nice piece, but aside from that top click, he's only OK.
Waller KOs: AA Robin, Kid Devil, Joker, Question; AW E Cap; FCBD Iron Man; Miracle/Oberon; John Stewart x2, Iron Patriot; Shatterstar; IH Herc; CW Photon & Nitro; FF Nite Owl; 10An R Thor, E Iron Man, Weapon X; FF Kilowog; Hugo Strange; Calender Man; Legion Cosmic Boy & Lightning Lad, LE Pete Wisdom
Played him twice now. Once in sealed, once in constructed. Really like him. Really want to keep him on that top click, but remains useful down the dial. I would have loved to have had either running shot or a 10 attack on click 2, but definitely a useful piece. Solid 4 star piece.

Oh, absolutely. I'm being a little facetious, but the Legion isn't lacking in ways to support him and make sure he hits a very large amount of the time. Sun Boy happens to be a really efficient way to take advantage of that support.

I haven't played him in constructed, but I think I've pulled and played him in every sealed event involving a Superman booster, and he's pulled his weight every time.
Call me crazy, but I am a real fan of Click 5 if you land on it, and you might, because NOBODY knows about this guy. His dial isn't memorized by most people. Really this piece is incredibly under-rated. He's and A all the way.
