The HoT Thor wasn't too bad...but I still want to see one with couple clicks of Imperv and a dash of hss. I mean c,mon when he twirls his hammer and wants to get somewhere fast!!! Plus maybe a pinch of some kinda special with magic involved? Dunno but think it all fits. Thor should be able to stand up to Supes!

What was up with that pitifull FF Thor? For his points he really sucks...see SI Namor, Herc etc.

This probably means no good new Thor is the Avengers set...unless they do Ultimate Thor who does look more like his movie counterpart

Gotta join this thread. I want to see the picture. I really like using the HOT Thor, but I know he and his set is due to be sent to Golden Age with the next set update. So a new one will be good. I just hope he is close to the HOT one in his dial and not like the FF version. A OK figure but nowhere near as good as the HOT one.

The press release says new dial AND new design. I'd assume it's a different sculpt.

Why would you assume it's a new sculpt when every FCBD figure has always been a reused sculpt? It's the same sculpt, but who cares FCBD rules.

Edit: Actually dude says he has a picture, so we will know soon enough. I assume there has to be someone else on the realms who got the same solicitation and can post the picture now.

If they're timing this for the Avengers movie...

And there's a rumored Avengers set coming out within a month or two of the Avengers movie...

And the solicit describes it as an "all new design" which would be accurate before the set drops...

It could be both a new and reused sculpt.

Unless we think that work on new sets doesn't start until two months before said set drops?

FCBD figures are always good, the event itself rocks the casbah, and, if it is a NEW sculpt - well that is just platinum frosting on a gold cake.

It could be a redialed Thor from a sculpt that will be seen in the Mighty Avengers set. This is cool. All this great Marvel news coming out just a day before I get my 2 cases of Superman. LOVE IT!!

I guess that's possible. I mean it's more then possible that the FCBD figure will be a new sculpt - but history tells us no it won't be. But having it be a sculpt from the newest Avenger theme set, yea that could be possible too. Again, it's never happened, and we are all guessing at this point - odds say no it will probably be the one from HoT.
