THROW A GRENADE: Give the character a power action, decrease the number of grenades in your grenade pool by 1 (if greater than 0), and choose a type of grenade listed on this card. Choose a target square within 5 squares and line of fire (ignoring characters for line of fire purposes). Make a ranged combat attack targeting all characters occupying or adjacent to the target square. Deal damage to each character hit based only on the type of grenade chosen.
if i put armor piercing on my figure would it affect the grenade as well?
and if it hurt a mystics figure would my figure take the feedback damage?
i think the answer to both is yes, but i'd rather be safe than sorry.
Yes, as it is damage from an attack. No, to secondary damage effects.

You are safe! Both of those answers are Yes. Armor Piercing applies to pretty much any damage that a figure dishes out, and you do have to make an attack, so Mystics will trigger.
Edit: MisterID's answer is more correct than mine with regards to Mystics.
No, Penetrating/Psychic Blast need for you to give a character a ranged combat action.
No, Shape Change just needs for you to Target the character which grenades do.

MisterId, are you saying since the secondary damage effects wouldn't trigger mystics, I could put a grenade in front of a mystic and not take feedback damage?

Reason: Edit: Missed the wording on the grenade...my bad.
Always try to leave an internet argument at lvl 1!

What I'm saying is the initial attack that targets a square then targets all characters that occupy that square and adjacent squares would trigger Mystics damage from all characters hit that take damage.
Some Grenades have a secondary effect that happens usually the next turn, this would not cause Mystics damage as it is not from the attack.

oh right. Wasn't there one that was basically incapacitate? I think it was the sticky grenade from Halo, but I'm not sure.
The Plasma grenade (Halo) and the Ink grenade (Gears) both have secondary effects which cause damage.
The Ink grenade would trigger Mystics on any hits that result from the attack roll made by Throw a Grenade, but wouldn't trigger Mystics from the 1 penetrating damage caused to those in or adjacent to the target square on the next turn.
Plasma is a little quirkier. The attack made by Throw a Grenade (Plasma) is an attack for no damage, so it wouldn't trigger Mystics, or be subject to crit hit/miss damage. The secondary effect of the grenade is that a figure occupying the target square who is hit by Throw a Grenade will be subject to 2 damage on the next turn, and any friendlies adjacent to that figure will be subject to 1 damage. The trick is that the attack roll only results in a figure being marked, and on the next turn, it's the mark that results in the damage.
