Ok, had some time to get some modding done since work is kinda slow right now.
First up is ROM the Spaceknight! Been working on him for a while now.
Second, we have something that started off simple and got more intricate as it progressed. I was given a spare Ganthet with no card, so I figured I'd just repaint him to his Blue Lantern Corps garb. But when I tried to strip the paint off the clear bits, they just fell apart. So I did what any good modder would do. I made my own.
And here's a side-by-side with the original.
And here we have something else. A friend of mine pulled an Aquaman from the Superman set, but the paintjob on it was lousy. He asked me to just give the trident a longer shaft, so I did. And then I painted it. Whether he wanted me to or not.
What did you use to strip the clear part? I've used Straight Acetone for a while and have had no troubles.
I've been using this 'Goo Gone' cleaner to take paint off. It's part acetone, part toulene, and part methanol. It works great on the older stuff, but the newer sculpts don't much care for it.

Try Straight acetone, it works wonderfully even on clear minis. You can get it at Home Depot for usually around $7 for a 1 qt metal can. I haven't had trouble with just acetone (the diluted stuff in nailpolish remover is next to worthless) but I had a bad experience with Goo Gone when I was younger, I tried to remove a bunch of marketing stickers and double sided foam tape from a scanner lid and the plastic on the lid started melting.
Oh another fun trick, if you can find them Citadel makes inks that go on translucent so they work great for coloring clear plastic.
Were getting singles of Misty & Colleen in the Deadpool Set!
