I was wondering if I Could use alias with camouflage? And how would it work?

Alias:
Fist and normal damage

Choose a character

This character can use shape change, if it cannot already. After this feat is used, remove it from the game.

Camouflage

Shape change

Choose a character

When this character is adjacent to a wall or blocking terrain, any line of fire for a ranged combat attack drawn to this character is blocked.

You can assign both feats to a fig but Alias states: This character can use Shape Change, if it cannot already. The prerequisite for Camouflage is Shape Change. If the character is able to use Camouflage at any given instance, it wouldn't be able to use Alias.

also alias does not allow you to use SC until you use the feat. So it theory it would only be good for one attack.

Well, I thought according to the new rule book we were able to attach any feat to ant character, but they weren't allowed to use that feat unless they meet the prerequisite. So I'm just wondering if the feat alias allows the character to meet the prerequisite?

How would that work with opponent? As far as him running shot, and I declare I'm using alias? Is he just not able to atk?

Nope, using Alias does not make your character eligible for Camouflage.

Alias is a one-time use of Shape Change. All rules involving Shape Change apply.

So, you use Alias, you roll for SC, then you remove Alias.

Ah, I see what the question is. I agree with Maraud. Alias lets the fig use Shape Change when it is the target of an attack. At that point, Camouflage would be useless. That and the fact that a feat cannot be used as the prereq for another feat.

Where in the rulebook does it state Feats would qualify you for a Feat that needed a power to show up on the dial?

I don't have Shape Change.

I use Alias.

That doesn't mean I can then assign Camouflage because my character *STILL DOES NOT* have Shape Change.

The part that used to say that "Feats can not be used as a prereq" was removed. All that it cares about now is if you can use the power.

That is why I say with this combo it is only useful onetime when you choose to use the Alias feat, which then would be used and removed from game.

Lordy, those minute changes need to really stop. Is there *ANY* reason for this change?

Okay, so I have Alias, I can use Camo.

Dude wants to range on my dude, I simply use Alias and the dude cannot range upon my dude...for how long? The entire turn? The duration of said action?

I agree... all these little minor changes hurt the game in the long run. NBPerp said there shouldn't be anymore changes unless it's really warranted. I hope that still holds true even though he is no longer RA.

Id let Alias work for Camouflage...once. Then you used it (by using it to meet the requirement) so Alias goes away. I'd say you get one-time Shape Change or one-time Camouflage
