Ten searches and ten minutes on the Heroclix site and I still can't find it! Anybody help me out? My friend needs help kicking my ### with the TA and I want to be sure he has all the angles covered!

Adjacent friendly characters modify their range values by +1. Give this character a power action and choose an adjacent friendly character. The chosen character modifies its damage value by +1 while adjacent to this character and making ranged combat attacks this turn.

Also it would probably be easier to find if you would have Titled this thread "S.H.I.E.L.D. Team Ability" which will now make it harder for the next person to find.

Yes it will! Or rather, that was my plan until you spoiled it. Now when they search the forums, your placing the title in your post will bring it up. Now I'm sad.

I hadn't thought of this, but does this mean if you give adjacent character (A) a power action, character (B) can now gain a plus one to range AND damage?

The way it reads now, I would say yes. S.H.I.E.L.D. used to be an either/or TA, either increase range +1 or give a power action and increase damage +1. Now it reads like a both/and effect.
But...Nightcrawler really has been my favorite character for years.
So are they saying that modifying range is free, but modifying the damage is the cost of using a power action?
Correct, but the modified range is not an action anymore free or otherwise, it just happens.

quick question on the power action/damage portion - can this be used with running shot/hss etc? Let's say steve rogers runs next to a field agent to shoot. Steve's range will go up by +1. Can the agent be given the damage power action to boost Steve's damage?

The only way this would work is if the person that is RS carries the person using the shield TA.
Since you must now give the power action before the attack, and remain adjacent for the attack.
As long as you were adjacent when the Power Action was given and adjacent for the attack you are fine with any other powers.

Here's the text for the old SHIELD wording from Fantastic Four.

S.H.I.E.L.D.TM When a friendly character makes a ranged combat attack, you can give any number of friendly characters adjacent to the attacker and using the S.H.I.E.L.D. team ability either a free action or a power action (but not both) before making the attack roll: For each character given a free action, modify the attacker’s range by +1; for each character given a power action, modify the attacker’s damage value by +1.
This was ruled to be the exception to the "can't give a power action during another action" rule. It used to be ruled that you could for instance RS adjacent to a Shield TA figure and assign a Power action to the SHIELD figure to boost the damage +1. So you are saying that this has been ruled differently now? Is it in the new player's guide?
