“Oh my God. They found me. I don’t know how but they found me. Run Marty!”

“Who, who?”

“Who do you think? The Libyans!”

“Holy-”

Abruptly, the picture changed.

“We interrupt your show to bring you a special bulletin with Bethany Snow.”

“Boring” Hank declared, grabbing the remote.

“This just in.” *click* “Francisco pol” *click* “ce are wor” *click* “ing to transfer infamous-”

“It’s on every channel.” Hank tossed the remote aside in disgust. It seemed like he did not want to be informed. Typical Hank. On the other hand, Dawn had been enjoying Back to the Future. She had missed the 80s, which seemed to be when all the best movies had been made.

“-de Wilson. Wilson, suspected to be the mastermind behind the Lexcorp massacre earlier this year, was captured recently after the group known as the Titans raided his home last week. Citing an attempt on Wilson’s life and two break-ins by so called supervillains in the last few months, officials have deemed Alcatraz Island an unsafe place to keep the accused terrorist. With plans to move Wilson tonight, one has to wonder if the combined efforts of the police force and the Alcatraz staff are really up to the task of keeping Wilson’s long list of associates and enemies away from him long enough to see Wilson safely locked up elsewhere.

"Once again, this is Bethany Snow, because I want you” she pointed towards the camera and gave the fakest smile Dawn had ever seen “to know.”

Roy pointed the remote at the TV and with a click, the young brunette reporter disappeared. “This is a joke, right?” he shouted, clearly not thinking it was.

“That’s the same woman that broadcast our raid on Deathstroke’s hideout before we did it.” Dick frowned. “There’s no way she could have enough influence to broadcast on all networks without knowing that she’s tipping off criminals. I want to know who this woman is. I want to know how she knows what she knows. I want to know who she’s working for and I want to know what her game is.”

“I’d guess she’s working with Slade” Vic ventured. “And Alpha, too. But if she’s in contact with them, she’d be more subtle, not let us know what she’s tryin to tell him.”

“Agreed” Garth nodded. “The message isn’t for Slade and his assassins. It’s for us. She wanted to bring us into contact with Deathstroke before. Now she wants us to fight all his allies and enemies.”

“Before we can prepare” Donna added.

“Or before they can do more damage” Gar suggested.

“Or both” Dawn tentatively added.

“Dawn is right!” Dawn jumped, feeling Kory’s powerful hand on her shoulder. “We have the advantage against Deathstroke and his allies in battle. Stopping us from formulating a plan or crafting an ambush only means we’re more likely to suffer casualties in defeating them.” Casualties? Kory was so casual about violence, which Dawn found strange, considering how nice she normally was. “There are people who would see us dead AND Deathstroke imprisoned.”

“Psimon” Hank crossed his arms over his chest. “Mystery solved. Let’s finish the movie.” He reached to take the remote back from Roy but Roy held it up out of Hank’s reach.

“Guy’s got a point” Gar said reluctantly. “He sent a bunch of kids and rookies at us earlier today. Now, he’s trying to get us while we’re tired and injured.”

“First of all, you’re a kid and a rookie” Tara said, elbowing Gar lightly in the side. “And second of all, nobody’s tired or injured. Your theory is stupid.”

“Speak for yourself. I scrapped my knee playing basketball when Mister Brick-Wall-For-a-Shoulder ran into me and knocked me over.”

“Then you shoulda got outta my way.”

“Anyway” Dick said loudly to get everyone’s attention back “it isn’t a bad theory. Psimon couldn’t have known the girls would beat the people he sent after them so easily or that Junior would show up to help us take down Sabbac or that the others would leave without a fight. He might have planned for us to be in bad shape…or somebody else might be behind this and it’s just a coincidence. Either way, we’ve been given a challenge and we’re answering it. Suit up.”

Nightwing and the other Titans touched down on Alcatraz Island in time to find Wilson being lead into a containment ship. His legs were chained together, his arms held in place by manacles that covered his arms from the elbow down. The security force didn’t seem surprised to see them.

“So you saw the broadcast too? We was just about to call you guys.”

“Mind if we escort you to…wherever it is you’re going?”

“Nah, man. Headed to a private airport in San Rafael. Got a jet waitin for us.”

Nightwing nodded. “Tempest, Beast Boy, keep watch from below. Starfire, Dove, Troia, I want you in the air. Terra, take Arsenal and Raven. Stay near the boat. Everyone else with me. Keep your eyes peeled. I don’t want any surprises.”

Not five minutes later, Nightwing heard Hawk shout out “Psimon!” He looked at his teammate and saw him pointing toward the sky. Nightwing could barely make out a speck of green against the blue sky but he trusted Hawk’s eyes. Pulling out his binoculars, he watched as Kory, Dawn and Donna flew towards Psimon and surrounded him. After exchanging words, the girls returned.

“He wants to talk” Troia explained. “He wouldn’t say what it was about but it’s an obvious trap.”

“He’d only be trapping himself” Starfire argued, landing next to Donna. “Psimon can’t defend himself against all of us. Let him try.”

Nightwing considered for a moment before making his decision. “Alright. Bring him in. Maybe he has something interesting to say before we arrest him.”

Soon, Psimon floated down to meet him. The other Titans took up positions around the villain, ready to attack if he made a move.

“Nightwing, my friend…you seem on edge.”

“Psimon.” He made a point to not return the declaration of friendship. “Couldn’t be because your people attacked us twice today.”

Psimon shook his head and smiled. “A misunderstanding, I assure you. Please, allow me to make amends.”

“What did you have in mind?”

“Let me finish what I started.” He took a step forward. “You think I’m out to get you but you misjudge me. I’ve done so much to help you. I learned of Deathstroke’s plans and sent you to stop him at Lexcorp. I removed the Mirror Master, keeping the ones you captured in prison. I revealed there was a traitor in your midst.”

“The only reason you knew about the traitor,” Nightwing pointed out angrily, “was because your man planted the bug on Cyborg in the first place!”

“And don’t think I’ve forgotten about that” Cyborg chimed in, his sonic blaster lowly humming.

“A mistake!” Psimon pleaded, the insincerity dripping from his lips. He looked knowingly at Donna. “You know all about mistakes, don’t you?” Psimon leaned in close and whispered into his ear. “They’ll lock her up forever after she testifies. Then they’ll put Wilson to death if he doesn’t escape first, which he probably will.” He always had before. Dick couldn’t deny it. “Let me kill him. Justice will be done and Troia will be free. All you have to do is let me by.”

Psimon was right, of course. Why should Donna suffer because of what Deathstroke had done? He was going to die anyways. Why waste time? Why give him a chance to escape? They should let Psimon finish him. It all seemed so clear, now. The others seemed to agree. He could see them beginning to relax as they came to the understanding that Psimon meant them no harm. Only Cyborg seemed unsure, his cannon pointed shakily at Psimon’s back.

Suddenly, his thoughts were interrupted by a green shark flying through the air and almost landing on top of him. He leapt backwards as Beast Boy hit the deck, turned back to human form and then rolled to a stop several feet away.

“Anybody get the license plate on that fist that hit me?”

“Did it look like that?” Terra asked, pointing to a man that was climbing aboard. He was a dangerous looking man, six foot four if he was an inch and built like a linebacker in a dull green uniform emblazoned with a bright red star. His buzzed red hair and grim expression made him look like he worked for the military…or whatever the military aspired to be. This man didn’t shiver at all after pulling himself out of the freezing San Francisco Bay.

“Friend of yours?”

“No” Psimon answered with clear disdain for this newcomer in his voice.

“I will ask you one time only” the mountain of a man told them, his accent heavily Russian. “Hand the Terminator over to me. You have my word that he will never trouble you again. If you do not comply, I will have to hurt you.”

“Like hell, you commie bastard!” Hawk charged the man and took a swing but the Russian was too fast. He caught Hawk’s arm and used his momentum to throw the Titan overboard. A starbolt slammed into the large man causing him to fly into the water after Hawk.

“There’s no time to waste” Psimon hissed but this time, Dick could feel a light tingling in the back of his head. “We must kill him NOW!”

“No.” He should have known better than to believe the telepath. Psimon was up to the same old tricks. “He’ll have his day in court.” He took out two batarangs and threw them at the villain.

Psimon caught and then crushed both weapons with his mind. “Fine. Have it your way.” At Psimon’s mental command, Gizmo and a guy in gold that he had never seen flew up on jetpacks. Jinx, Kyd Wykyyd and a girl in silver teleported in next to them. “Psimon says take Deathstroke by force!”

“Not if we can help it. Titans together!”

Scenario Rules:

--> Deuce has a Unique Feat: Anything You Can Do: Once at the beginning of your turn, Deuce can choose a friendly or opposing character within 5 squares. She may select any one power showing on their dial and gain that power in addition to any she currently possesses. If the character has a ranged attack, she gains their range -2. If the combat score of the stat the power is attached to is higher for the target than Deuce, modify that combat values by +1 for Deuce; for instance, Invulnerability is attached to Defense. If the target’s defense value is higher than Deuce’s, she gains a +1 to defense until she chooses a new power to duplicate.

--> Deathstroke: The object of the game is to have Slade Wilson in your hands when the dust settles. There are two ways to achieve this:

1) Each of the three players may capture and hold Deathstroke automatically if the other two players have their entire teams KO’ed.

2) If at the end of the game there is not one lone surviving player, whichever player’s character is adjacent to Wilson (the ‘Special’ tile in square L12) at the end of the last round gets him.

3) If more than one player has a character adjacent to Wilson at the end of the game, possession will be decided by a roll-off! Each player rolls 1d6, highest roll wins. Whoever has the most victory points gains a +1 to their die roll. Whichever player has the most characters adjacent to Wilson gains +1 to their die roll. Titans automatically gain +1 to their die roll (police support from Alcatraz). The Titans player wins ties.

If the Titans player wins the capture of Deathstroke at the end of the game, he receives a bonus +5 TXP.

I would enjoy playing Psimon's crew, if that's okay. I usually have fun fighting the Titans.

Stupid noob question--Jack is using the orange numbers for his characters, Gargan is using the blue ones--what do I use?

Whatever you want. Using one of the letters is probably better than being orange 8, for instance, cause we don't want to get you confused with one of the teams.

That works. 'A' for Abombination it is.
