I think he's very good for the points, even without range. Very strong numbers, especially defense, and lots of reducers. Plus the Phasing + Colossal Quake as a Trait is awesome, especially in the 100 points version.
I am pretty excited about this one. He is 400 points so he's obviously intended for a Fantastic Four scenario, which is awesome. He has a strong dial and good traits. My only concern is how he will hold up against the FF without multi-attack or willpower. He only has a few clix of Flurry, so dealing with 4 characters simultaneously will really take its toll if all he can rely on is colossal stamina.
Cool figure. But the higher the points on this one, the less playable. As pointed out, the lack of Willpower and Multi-Attack really leave this 400 pt. beast pushing over and over again through Colossal Stamina. And every three clicks, you lose 100 points worth of life. Also, what is the point of the Dolphin Symbol? Completely wasted points, unless you're playing feats and you can throw Submerged on this thing lol.
This thing is awesome. It's a great challenge to the player and the FF opposition. The lack of willpower and multi-attack means the battle should be comic accurate 50% of the time. Pick the most dangerous target that you can damage, and push to cripple, then change your focus so you can avoid getting overwhelmed by the other figs. This is a thinking piece. some players want the fight to be half over when they set up in the starting area. This game was dubbed super chess a long time ago. This piece is for super chess.
@bgreyloc - well said! This thing can be an absolute terror if played intelligently. Phase in and quake to break up a formation, and push to KO another character. The traits really make for an interesting game play!
I'm with the super chess crowd. And if you worry about getting swarmed when you Phase in, remember that you can also use Stamina to Phase away, and chain Quake someone across the board if you want to isolate them or exploit defense powers like ES/D or Mastermind.
I blog. God help me, I'm one of those people now.
. . . considering that he's missing both the spoon and the milk from his bowl of psycho nuts . . . -Techno, in Thunderbolts, regarding Graviton

not really sure how each point level can be 100 points each, when you consider each one has different point levels and power sets. i can't imagine quake costs that much more than super strength, or that flurry and blades costs that much more than charge, super strength, exploit weakness with 4 damage.
he's gonna be a great team up with Magneto though.
The trait Quake requires you to move, it is a free action after the Phase/Teleport resolves. Quake on the dial can just be used without moving, which you may want to do at some point.
It just still seems weird, since you could just move around and end up back in the same spot then quake, but still I cool fig. Can't wait for mine to get here.
