If you turn off an optional power, can you choose to turn it back on immediately, or does it stay off till the end of your turn or the beginning of the next turn? My thought is to use perplex on a stealthed fig so I would need to shut stealth off first but can I turn it back on after the attack?
Your example wouldn't work anyway, cause there is no way you can outwit a stealthed character (you need LoS) ; except, maybe, if the Outwitter sees him and the Perplex doesn't. But in any case, Outwit doesn't work on your own figs, and on an opponent's it last until the beginning ot your turn. Last but not least, I don't think Stealth is an optional power...
Hope that helps !

Stealth is an optional power. I don't know where you got the whole outwit thing as I didn't say a word about outwit, all I wanted to know is how long does an optional power stay off once turned off? Judges, a ruling please.
If I don't get any mutants in the next set, I'll become all green and kill everyone and then mutate into something really ugly like a lawyer or a politician or maybe I'll really mutate very badly and write HC articles in Inquest... :knockedou

In case you want the actual rules text for this it is under superpowers and it reads:
Quote
The owning player may cancel the effect at any time, in which case it is canceled until the end of the current turn. At the beginning of the next turn, it is assumed to be in effect again.
Why does this matter anyway? I thought stealthed characters are only stealthed to your opponent...not to friendly figures. So why do you need to turn it off to perplex him?

Super powers are in effect as long as they appear in the stat slot. If a super power is described as optional, it is assumed that the character is using that power unless the player controlling that character states that the power is being canceled.
So, you cannot draw the LoF to a Stealth character becuase they are using their Stealth super power. This is for friendly and enemy figures.
So let me get this right...to use a power I possess with one of my figures that effects one of my figures who happens to be on stealth...I have to say "I turn off stealth" before I perplex him even though the stealth returns at the end of my turn so it really didn't matter whether I said it or not except for the saying it. So, my question is unless you plan to go "you didn't say I turn off stealth" and wag your finger at your opponent who wants to perplex his stealthy man it is a meaningless activity to say it in the first place. Do you people really play this way? Do you have fun? Moreso, does your opponent have fun? Unless, with my simple brain I am missing something, this is ridiculus.
