I know all cards transfer to the new AE, but can an AE use the ATA after the switch if the new character does not have the key word? i.e. Bruce Banner to Hulk using Hulkbusters.
To piggyback off of this. What about the Hulked-Out Heroes ATA. If the ATA is assigned, and they revert, would the figure they revert to be able to use Super Strength?
How could it go either way? After the switch does the figure have the keyword? If it does, you can use the ATA. If it does not, then you can't.
Note that if you begin with an ATA assigned on other figures then AE/Morph/Revert/etc. your figure into a guy with the ATA keyword, then it still won't be able to use it.
For example, imagine a Doom Patrol ATA. I have it on my Chief and Mento. Beast Boy is also on my team, starting the game as the bear. I use Morph to become Beast Boy prime. He now has the Doom Patrol keyword, but he can't use the ATA.

So Beast Boy Prime always has to start the game or your don't get the ATA for him even if you spent the points to assign it?

If Beast Boy Prime did not start the game, then you shouldn't have spent the points anyways, as he is not part of your force. Beast Boy Bear is the one on your force and he doesn't have the keyword, so can't have the ATA assigned to him, so doesn't pay for it.
And as stated earlier, if you start with Beast Boy prime and pay for the ATA, then if you switch to the other ones, then they can't use the ATA (or even possess it).

yet we have a ruling that says that you can pay the ATA cost for Beast Boy if you want him to have access to the ATA.
I know this is an old thread but this one stayed with me because it was never fully answered and I guess this would be a good time to get a final answer on it.
ADDITIONAL TEAM ABILITIES
Additional Team Ability (ATA) cards can be added to your force if the characters on your team meet the prerequisite listed on the card. Each ATA card indicates the cost per character that must be added to your force in order to use it in the game; all characters that meet the prerequisites must be assigned the ATA and your force’s Build Total is affected accordingly. ATA cards provide either different or additional team abilities to the qualifying characters on your force. These team abilities are possessed by the qualifying characters and can be used by wild cards (unless the ATA specifies otherwise). A force may only include one ATA card

At the time of revealing your force, any character that can be replaced or brought into the game is not part of your force. Unlike feats, which allow you to add abilities without meeting the prerequisite, ATAs say that all characters on your force that meet the prerequisites must pay the cost and those characters are not part of your force at the time of revealing your force.
Now can they use it once they are brought in and are now part of your Force is debatable. I can see it being a "Yes", but at that point I would say that the opposing player would also gain points for that character using the ATA, similar to opposing player gaining points for respawning characters.

You could assign the Hulked out Heroes card to him. He has Super Strength as long as he is Hulkmariner. He has the HoH keyword.
Or
You could assign him the Atlantis ATA. He gets his +1 Def while he's in Water, but, because it was assigned to him at the beginning of the game, and he changed in to Namor, he can still use it because he meets the prerequisites.
I know there's others that this can be done with, but this one was the one on my mind.
