Hey I'm sorry I haven't posted anything yet. Just went to WonderCon and had a blast, but haven't had hardly any online time. I will update probably by tuesday... I should be able to take a couple of turns by then.
(Attack) Manipulate: The Chief can use Leadership. If Leadership would allow you to add an action to your action total for the turn, you can instead put a Manipulate token on the Chief's character card if there are two or fewer Manipulate tokens on the card. When another friendly character would take pushing damage, you can remove a Manipulate token from the Chief's character card and roll a d6; on a result of 3-6, the character ignores pushing damage.
(Defense) Strategist: The Chief can use Perplex and Mastermind (he can deal the damage to a friendly character that has a higher point value if that character shares a keyword with the Chief); damage transfered using Strategist may not later be dealt to the Chief.

Hey, buddy, I know you've played a couple of games before, so I'm not here to teach you anything, far from that, but here's a couple of hints:
1) We usually mark our figure's actions with action tokens. We use a "@" in front of our figure's positionings. I'll do it this turn for you so you can see what it looks like
2) In future rolls, please include every instruction possible in the roll description. Square from where the shot is made, use of Outwit, Perpex or any other game effect and positioning of any figure that has an impact on that attack (Probability, etc.). It helps to get things going fair and square, ok?

I'm trying to find rules for the generator, but I can't find anything. Does it have any special effects?

This object is not destroyed when used in an attack. After the Generator is used as part of an attack, the attacker places it in any square adjacent to the target after the attack resolves.
