I have a question about the Spectre Colossal figure.
The rules say :
"When played as part of a force, The Spectre ignores the Earthbound, Exploit Weakness, Force Blast, Incapacitate, Mastermind, Mind Control, Plasticity, Poison, Psychic Blast, Shape Change, and Support powers of all other characters, as well as team abilities and effects that duplicate the
effects of those powers."
Does it means that he ignores those powers when they target him or does it means that no one can use those powers when he is on the battlefield?
I tought it was logical to think that he simply can't be affected by those powers but then I noticed 2 things that let me think I'm wrong :
1) How can he be targeted or affected by Earthbound?
2) The rules saying "...of all other characters". This part wouldn't be necessary if the rules really applies only when he's targeted by those powers.
So what's the correct way to play him?
Thank you in advance!
He ignores the effects if he is a Target. Example: If he is targeted with Penetrating/Psychic Blast he can still be dealt damage but it would not be penetrating damage.
1) Swingline.
2) It says "All other character" because it includes Friendly characters but not himself.

there has long been debate on the "why" of some of that, and never a clear answer that really made a lot of sense (why does Galactus ignore opposing figure's Support? how does he ignore it?) The correct way to play it, though, would be:
Is it a power etc he would ignore?
Is it going to effect him?
If yes to both, ignore the effect.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
“No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.”
By ignoring Earthbound, you could have a weird situation where a giant, now possessing Earthbound/Neutralized (i.e. Toyman click 3 on) is behind elevated and therefore out of line of fire, strangely regains his giant symbol and can be seen again by Spectre
Maybe Spectre sees them as they truly are?
Most of the rest are easy
Exploit Weakness/Psychic Blast: attacks using these do not deal penetrating damage to the Big S (although if a power simply says it is penetrating and not one of the those mentioned, you are good to go)
Force Blast: Well, yeah. He is FREAKING HUGE! His oversized base renders him immune anyway
Incapacitate: Godlike being, doesn't really get tired. But there are more special effects attached to Incap now, so ignoring this makes a huge dif
Mastermind: Let's see, was this necessary...actually yes. There are characters that can MM to a higher point figure (although, off the top of my head, I think he would still not meet their criteria)
Mind Control: Straightforward. Although it would be fun to watch a mind controller take 6, 12 or 18 damage
Plasticity: Seeing as he breaks away automatically, this never comes into play
Poison: With more SPs giving penetrating poison, this matters. It may be penetrating but he ignores it entirely
Shape Change: Note that the wording used, "as well as team abilities and effects that duplicate the effects of those powers" is no longer necessary as both Skrulls and Danger Girl actually use Shape Change but succeed only on a 6
Support: Cannot be healed via this method or via a healing splash power or feat (cannot remember, off the top of my head, who has it)
Thanks for the answers, guys.
It wasn't easy to understand but now it's all clear, except one last thing
When the rules say that he ignores Mastermind, does it refer also to an opposing character that want to Mastermind the damage took from the Spectre onto another opposing figure or does it refer just to allies wishing to mastermind some damage onto him?
It would be mastermind damage trying to be damage trying to be transfered from his damage dealt as well as damage trying to be transfered from a friendly character.

I've yet to hear from an orange about this. Since oneof them said if he attacks you you can MM the damage.
