I have WOS Deadpool who has the spider-man team ability.
and I also have WOS Bullseye with the Thunderbolts ATA.
Thunderbolts
Once at the beginning of the game, choose any one Marvel team ability other than an alternate team ability, a wild card team ability, or a team ability that can't be used by wild cards. Characters using this team ability can use the chosen team ability if they can't already.
Lets say Bullseye chooses the mystics team ability.
I need to know how this works:
Can wild card like Deadpool copy ATA's like Thunderbolts? And how would that work exactly if he could copy Thunderbolts? Would he use the ATA as it is described?
Or can Deadpool copy the mystics team ability from Bullseye since now Bullseye can use the chosen team ability? But I am not sure Bullseye posses the mystics, just that he can use it.
I am just a little confused on the wording and any clarification would help.
Deadpool can copy Mystics as that is a team ability a friendly character can use.
Nope!

Bullseye does not possess Mystics, so Deadpool cannot copy it. However, Bullseye does possess Thunderbolts, so Deadpool can copy that, which will allow him to use Mystics.
It's essentially the same, but technically different.

Um... not so much.
Rulebook, page 17:
Wild card team abilities allow a character to use any team ability possessed by any friendly character on the battlefield.
PG page 26:
A wild card can only use a team ability that is possessed by a friendly character on their force. It cannot use a team ability that another character is able to use (but does not possess).
A wild card cannot copy mystics directly. They can copy Thunderbolts TA, which will let them use the chosen team ability, and use Mystics through that, so the effect is the same.

Since Deadpool is copying the ATA rather than the chosen TA he could choose some other TA, couldn't he?
Hmmm, but he has to choose at the beginning of the game at which point he is not yet copying Thunderbolts, so he can't choose. Now I have a headache...
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
“No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.”

He can't choose because individual characters don't get to choose. The choice is made once and all characters using that ATA use the chosen TA, no matter how they are using the ATA.
I have a couple of questions regarding the ATA and WC interactions.
1.A WC character can copy/use the ATA because it is possessed,so does the WC character also have to pay the cost of using the ATA,Usually a Team Ability is a symbol on the dial with no cost to use it, but an ATA has a cost to use it,so in order for the WC to use it do they also have to pay to use it.
2.A WC can copy/use a Team Ability, say Mystics and now they get to use that TA,So now they copy/use the Thunderbolts ATA which is an ATA that happens once at the beginning of the game where all characters that qualify get to make a choice all at once.So does the WC character have to be part of this group copy the ATA at the beginning to be able to use this ATA.How can the WC get to copy/use the ATA and only get to use the second part of the ATA and not have to do all of the ATA description says they have to do.

No, a wild card does not need to pay to use an ATA unless he possesses the keyword
Note that, let's say a character had the keyword thunderbolts and was a wild card. They would have to pay for the use of the TBolt ATA. They could also wild card a different TA

The wild card gets to use whichever TA was chosen at the beginning of the game
They can switch in and out of the chosen TBolt TA as they wish (well, whenever you give them a free action to do so)
I knew outside of TAs like Cosmic/Quin wild cards can copy any printed team ability. I just assumed for some reason that since an ATA has a cost and keyword requirement that WK would not allow a wild card to use them for free.
Things that should be clixed:
1) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2) He-Man 3) Thundercats 4) Gundam
Basically the 80's needs clixing.

I too, thought that WC could not gain the benefits of the ATA,unless they met the requirements of the ATA.No different than a character being assigned a feat, but if they don't meet the requirements of the feat then there are no benefits from the feat.
