When a colossal character uses quake does it target every character within 2 squares or just the adjacent characters? I'm leaning towards just the adjacent characters but I want to make sure because I use the Sentinels frequently and plan on using Giganto at least once. Thanks
I thought they could both make close combat attacks from two squares away.
From the PAC:

A character with the giant damage symbol ( ) is a giant character, and possesses the Giant Reach ability and the Great Size ability.

Giant Reach is what lets them treat characters up to 2 squares away as if they were adjacent...

GIANT REACH
This character ignores opposing characters’ Plasticity and adds 1 to its d6 roll when breaking away. When this character is given a move action it can use the Carry ability. When this character is given an action that includes a close combat attack, all squares within a range of 2 and line of fire are considered adjacent. This ability can’t be countered.
Sorry, quoting all these may be overkill, but I figure there are a lot of people that are going to be asking these questions over the next few weeks so it's good to post them for people to see.
I used the frost giants for a few weeks, but mostly the Sentinels. I use my army of Sentinels probably about once a month.
Jon I agree I think your x-force team might have beaten my Sentinel if I hadn't been cheating the whole time. If we weren't on hawkworld I would just flat out say your team would have won.

Possibly - Wolverine isn't as good a leader as he thinks he is.
On a more serious note, I'm guessing that if anything blocks LOF from the Giant Reach figure to figures 2 squares away quake does affect them, is that right?
You have to have line of fire to hit them, but don't forget that great size allows for line of fire to be drawn from the least restrictive elevation, so you can draws lines of fire to that character 2 squares away even if his buddy is between you and him (so long as his buddy is smaller than your attacker of course )

No. The giant needs to have LoF to the character to consider it adjacent for the attack. So if you have a character that is in hindering 2 squares from a giant and can use Stealth, then the giant can't attack that character.
EDIT: And I was of course wrong because giants only care about LoF to the square and not to the character like W.I.T. points out a couple of posts below.

That is simply incorrect:

You only need LoF to the square, not the character. Stealth does not stop a character with Giant Reach from making an attack when they are 2 squares away.
I'm not sure why people have such a hard time with this? It's no different than a standard character attacking an adjacent character that has Stealth and is in hindering, as it's still a close combat attack.
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........

So stealth does not matter, but if I have a giant next to your giant your quake won't hit the square behind him? (I hope thats right)
