Friends, Romans, and Countrymen (and Women)!!!!

I hereby announce (with thanks to the lovely Miss Truffles for her R&D efforts) that we have a venue for KARAOKE at WW Philly, on Friday Night June 1, after the con!!

Of course, I refer to TAZIA, the epic locale for our 2010 celebration, now booked in advance for those about to rock!!!

Lady Truffs reports:

"They remodeled their Karaoke room. It is now 1 large room which holds 40 people and 1 small room which holds 15. I booked the smaller room from 9:30 pm – 1:00 am and we do have the option to extend ‘til 2:00 am. There is no deposit to hold the smaller room. The room charge is $40.00/hour, however if we spend over $250.00 for the night (I guess in drinks and food if people want food) than the room charge is waived. From 9:30-1:00 it would be $160 (4 hours). If we have 10 people (I expect about 15 though), each spending at least $25 for the night (I think that will be doable with drinks) that will be enough to get the room charge waived. Something to keep in mind that night. They do not split the tab for parties over 8, so it will have to be put on one person's card."

So here's the deal - we have room for 15 participants. Each person must spend more or less $25 in food and/or drinks so that we can get the room fee waived. You pay for what you consume, but be ready to spend at least $25 (and remember that there is no cover charge or any other fees involved.)

Also, keep in mind that the whole charge will go on one person's card so that payment in cash at the event will be required. (One other thing - if you are not planning on drinking and eating at Tazia, please PM me and we will work out an accommodation so that you don't get charged full pop just for showing up.)

Please post on this thread your intent (SIGN-UP) to come out with the group on Friday night. Remember that the fun and games start at Tazia at 9:30 pm and may go as late as closing time, 2:00 am.

If you have any questions, please make them known and all info will be shared with the group. If your name is on the list and you want to opt out, do let me know. We're going to try and include as many people as we can, but it may be tight.

I do believe babies count as carry on luggage.

Only if you can fit them inside that metal square that you pass on your way to the ticket counter and if you can stow them either in an overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you. Been there, done that.
