I've read posts here that state that RCE (Ranged Combat Expert) does not work with any other power that the figure has. OK. But can another hero stand beside them and augment their power with something like Enhancement, or the SHIELD ability.

the reason is shield isa team ability not a super power and rce doesnt work with super powers

If I understand you question correctly:

Enhancement does not work with RCE. RCE does not work with any other powers(with a few exceptions), and Enhancement is another power.

The SHIELD team ability will work with RCE because it is a team ability, not a power.

Enhancement won't work, since it's a Super Power. Currently the only Super Power you can use with RCE is Probability Control. SHIELD team ability DOES work as it is a team ability.
