Not sure if clix players have ever tried this, but back when I played Star Wars miniatures we had a format called Dynamic Duo that was great fun and good for a quick game. Tonight me and a friend played it for a couple hours with clix and it carries over perfectly.

Point format: 400

I'm sure you could pick another point value, but this seemed to be the sweet spot.

The only team building rule is you have to have exactly two characters in your force and their point total must equal exactly 400 points (or whatever point total you choose). What's cool about this format is that you find yourself playing with characters you might not normally play with otherwise, and you also get to use two heavy hitters without worrying about having enough support.

Some team examples:

GG chase Dr. Doom (210) and veteran Kang (190)
AVM mass market Hulk (255) and GL fast forces Kilowog (145)
CA Maelstrom (225) and GG fast forces Quasar (175)
