Asgard. Today.

Three SHIELD agents blast their way through the door of an underground room. A trio of skrulls huddle there. One of them lifts up his hand to grab a bomb.

"Not on my watch," Agent Smith says taking no chances in shooting his arm clear off.

"One's heading for the window," Agent Jones says.

A tazer to the neck and that skrull falls as the third leaps through the window.

"Get to the window, now!" Agent Simmons commands and the men leap out.

"Who?" they look up.

"Thou hast done thy work well," the mighty Thor says, "The skrull threat of Asgard is vanquished."

"Where is the last one, Avenger?".

Thor points to a fallen skrull in plain view in the room. The three SHIELD look down.

"Impossible! That was the one I just tazered," Agent Jones says.

"Aye."

Agent Smith turns around, suddenly he knows his mission just got deadlier. Then he blanks out from a lightning charge. In his last conscious moments he sees the same fates for Agent Simmons and Jones. He grabs his comlink. "Agent Arthur Smith deployment on Asgard. Worst case scenario. Engage in operation: Godbreaker. Repeat engage in operation: Godbreaker."

Thor puts his foot on Agent Smith's hand. "That will be enough of that." He kicks him with a deadly blow and Agent Smith is out.

Next to Thor is Volstagg. "I wanted to do that," says Volstagg converting to Skrull from.

"Next time," Thor says, also converting to skrull with a number of other skrulls behind him. "And mark my words, there will be one. They are onto us."

"We knew this would happen," the Skrull Emperor says, "This time, we're ready. And where we failed on Earth, we will succeed on Asgard!".

This one is an excuse to use some of the cool new SHIELD, Asgardian and Skrull figures out there!

That added up fast. I really wanted even more agent types, but moreover I wanted to make sure I included all the "name" agents Dum Dum, Gabe Jones, Sharon Carter, etc. Considering I also needed to be able to include a few big guns (Quasar and Iron Man), and at least a few Starjammers, I got to 1500 or so before I even knew it.

"Care to share, Nick?" Gabe Jones asked.

"Our Asgardian stike team failed. The Skrulls know we're onto them," Nick replied. "They'll be coming. Maria!"

"Im right here, Fury. You don't need to shout."

"Mobilize all the forces on the Helicarrier and call in every reserve that can be called in. We're going to be hit and we're going to be hit hard."

"Are we calling in the superhumans too?"

"You'd better belive it. Stark, Rogers, the Widow...If we've ever issued them a SHIELD communicator, they're getting a call."

Glad to let you have home advantage. I just don't see an initiative roll. I assume it beats my 5. I'll roll a 10 in case of a tie.

Also, you mention 1800 being hard for you. We can up this if you like. I'll let you decide.

I did beat your 5 for initiative. I think it was a 7. In my eagerness to choose map, I neglected to actually say what the roll was.

You didn't mention the suggestion of making this team bigger. I like this kind of thing because it can be small but like you, there's just so darned many choices. I could easily add more members.

"Col. Fury! I'm picking up something outside!" an agent called out.

"Skrulls?"

"No sir. I mean they don't look like Skrulls, but that doesn't mean anything. But the energy signatures don't match."

"Then let's go see what they want."

A few minutes later, on top of the helicarrier.

"You're Polaris, of the X-Men," Nick called to the figure hovering over the flight deck.

"Formerly. Now of the Starjammers, but yes," Polaris said. "This is Raza. The Starjammers have been tracing a cell of Skrulls and it led us here. I came to warn you."

"Old news. Still, thanks."

"Colonel! New energy readings. This time they are Skrull."

"All right then. This is it. Positions!" Maria Hill barked out.

A sleek spacecraft came in quite suddenly and touched down on the helicarrier. Even as it was landing, its hatches opened and incongruously, disgorged what seemed to be a group of medieval warriors.

"We are here," Raza said. "We can help."

"I won't say no. But I'm in charge," Fury said. "You take orders from me, got it?"

OK, 1800 points is good. Also feats 1 is good, let's stick to 3 objects.

"Then we simply destroy them all," he says, "Asgardians, look your part! That will serve to confuse them."

"Yes, your highness," they respond, taking form of their chosen Asgardian counterpart.

"Don't forget to sound the part as all," he chastises.

"Aye, your highness," they correct themselves.

Having Xavin switch to click 2 to get Invulnerable won't work. If you use his Trait during your turn to turn his dial, it goes back to where you started at the end of the turn, so you really only get the benefit of the offensive powers when you do that. The defensive powers only work if you're actually hit onto that click to stay.
