If most people did this I will tell the owner about. See I still viewed it as a marquee figure not a Buy it by the brick figure. I know Tyroclix is old enough to remember the Old Marquee figures.

Yah, but the "old Marquee figures" were much more limited -- one figure for the winner, and a second figure each for Fellowship and Judge.
Anyway, WK has said that the new "Marquee figure" can be used any way the Venue sees fit. Sales incentive, prize support, even sell it outright.

True the problem is Marquee figure means during the Marquee which was the first Booster Draft of a new set. They have had Buy it by the Brick Figures that the Owner of the store had to give out.
Why not keep calling it that. Instead of the name that went to the Marquee. (Insert random thoughts into my head that comes out as jibberish on the computer when typing.) Only thing I can think of right now is they just wanted it to be as broad as possible because it is up to each store what they do with it. I have been giving them away as prizes for tournament players. I pretty much allow anyone to pick anything in the prize support.
Although you didn't answer the question what does your store do?

Wow, it's been forever since we had one of those too. (Then again, they were much less meaningful once we hit the point where all figures only came up once in the rotation...)

Bingo. They weren't exclusively meant as "Brick" figures any more, so they stopped calling them that.
I'll agree that "Marquee" was a very odd word to use for them, especially because of the historical connotations.

Oops, sorry!
They are used as "Brick" figures, with one awarded for each brick purchased at the store. When we run Sealed events, we add one per brick as a bonus prize.
Beyond that, they're part of the store's collection of miscellaneous items to give away. We find all kinds of reasons to give stuff to people, so it's nice to have them available!
Wow Back in 2007. I was looking on hcr here and it seems the real last use of the word Marquee was Hammer of Thor. You know I never really noticed they took that out.
PS I looked on the wizkids site and I don't officially see them saying anything about Marquee's. So it seems to really old judges using the term.
Sellers on eBay also seem to be throwing them in with the CUR sets same as they did with the brick figures. Maybe Wizkids just figured as long as that's happening, they'll rename them & let it up to bulk buyers to decide how they handle it.
Told you they were meant for Buy It By The Brick Promotions.
Wizkids just started selling them separately to stores so that stores could use them for other things. Additional Prize Support, Give-Aways, or what have you.

No again you missed the point. Its not a BiBtBF. Its a give away which can be used for that.

No. I got your point. Why do you think they use the term "REPLACE" in reference to the previous Buy It By The Brick figure. They didn't say that the BiBtB figure was discontinued. When you replace something with something else, it's still meant to fill in that role. The terminology that's being used clearly states what it's meant for. It's just that the stores have options to order them separately for other things as well.
