Cheap Indomitable figure with good damage potential for his first 5 clicks. Personally, I'd rather see that last click sliced off entirely and have those points put somewhere else on the dial, but it does give you one more chance to roll for Regen (and without taking the dreaded pushing damage when you're trying to heal!).
If that first click of 3 damage showed up where he didnt have BCF at the end of his dial I would be a lot happier. As it is he just cant do anything on but regenerate on those last 2 clicks. Not bad by any means but still doesnt seem like Wolverine to me. Though he might be one of the best out of the (for me disappointing) GSX pack.
I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it all that much either. This Wolverine suffers from the same problem as the WOS Wolverine, no mobility. With so many stealth busting options available, I see this version getting KO’ED rather quickly. Those low defense numbers on his regeneration clix are going to be too easy to hit. On the plus side, he’s a good cheap version for team building options or for lower point games.
If you are worried about stealth-busting, just give him the Hand ATA for 7 points and park him nxt to a wall. True, he has no move-n-attack, but if this is what we get when we slice off WoS wolvie's healing trait, I am certainly not dissappointed.
This Wolverine will be getting a lot of play with me based on his keywords alone (Not to mention his point cost, 11 BCF opening attack, and indomitable). At 75 points, he'll fit in nicely on S.H.I.E.L.D., X-Force, X-Men, Hand, and Avengers theme teams- all teams I play frequently (and I thought 103 Wolverine was keyword friendly). I definitely cannot wait to get him.
What point formula ? lol Seriously : not a bad wolverine at all. A good attack, good theme team options (The hand is just gettin' better), and indomitable (at least !). For teh cost, you get a lot to play with.
You know everyone loves to be the villain. Hugh Grant
Got to agree with Zarg and Captain Krueger, cheap Indomitable is nice to have...that's why I like the DKR 201 Batman...yeah, he's not going to single-handedly win any games, but he's going to be earning some serious points for you...plus an 11 B/C/F is always nice...w/ stealth!
