Night of the Owls questions (May contain spoilers)
Did I miss an issue or did the Night of the Owls pretty much end with no resolution? I understand that everyone was fighting the Talons but, did Batman ever take down the court? It looks like all the books are now starting new arcs and I do not remember any book specifically showing the bat family ending anything besides the individual Talon battles. Was victory implied in Batman annual #1 ? It was a tie in but, focused on Mr Freeze.
Everything not Batman that was Night of the Owls was a crossover event one shot, basically, both for story reasons and to generate interest slash readership. The main arc will continue in Batman. They've confirmed we will learn who is behind it and what their motivations are.
Thanks for the info. There were so many cross overs that really did not add anything and the lead up in the main books to the annual it seemed things just ended without actually showing a win.

I don't know about "Not adding anything." The Nightwing Tie-in was actually rather interesting, imo, since the Talon was his great-grand father and it touched on what happened to him back in the past, shedding light on the politics of Gotham at the time / how the Court works with recruitment.
Not all of them were stellar. But I don't feel any were terrible. And they help make the world feel a bit more cohesive. It was one of the better crossovers I've seen in quite awhile.
When saying it did not add anything, I was speaking about the resolution of the arc. The backstory was interesting. I just meant how everyone had the 1 on 1 fights and then all of a sudden here comes the annual the talons were not in it and there was an elaborate set up to take on mr freeze. Batman #10 is giving me the info that I wanted to see.

This can be applied to most events with crossover issues. Secret Invasion was pretty much the opposite case, for the most part, where I got more out of those tie-ins than the actual event.

It's not completely over yet? One of the books batman is fighting a guy who claims to be his brother, who's also a talon. I think the final fight is in the next issue.
