Eh, not so much. I picked up the first one over a year ago for like $10. I played it for about an hour before becoming incredibly board with it. Doesn't exactly get me excited for the sequel.
Couldn't disagree more with Combat. I'm excited, but a bit nervous. I reviewed the first one for diehardgamefan.com when it came out, and it's a surprisingly good action game. The way they kept adding more abilities throughout the game (suddenly, Portal!) was really surprising.
I'm a bit saddened it won't follow up on the end of the events of one right away, but I'm certainly cautiously optimistic.
I love how this series mixes God of War type Combat with The Legend of Zelda dungeon exploring.
I know THQ has said if this one does well there will be a 3rd in the series in which we will play as either Famine or Pest and then if that sells well a forth game in which we will play as the last Horseman we have yet to get to play.
Between this, Borderlands 2 next month and Black Ops 2 in Nov, its going to be a good gaming season for me.
I played through most of the first one... some of the areas were just ridiculously harder than they needed to be. i lost count of how many times i had to restart my game, because i got to an area that there was NO way i could pass because I wasn't prepared enough with healing and such.
i loved the look of the game, love the story, the characters... but the play... "I'm the Horseman of War, and I'm pushing blocks around....LET ME KILL SOMETHING"
Contrary to popular belief, I do know what I'm doing
