Could I play the IG Adam Warlock at 250 and first turn heal him up?
Just play him next to a healer in my starting zone, and first turn just heal him up the 3 or 4 clicks (I think it's just 3 honestly) to what would be his 450 point build, therby saving you 200 points in your build? Because what if he took one damage and I healed him and rolled a 6 and went all the way back up, would that not be allowed either, can I ONLY heal him back up to 450?
And is it just like that with different starting builds? Meaning, if I AEd into The Batman and had a healer right next to him to push him back up past the orange line, is that ok?
not 100% sure on this, but I would say no. you pay to use him at the 250 point level, which means the 250 point starting line is as far as you can go when healing him
No whatever line you start Adam at is the healthiest he can ever be. The orange line is also the maximum life that character can have. Think of both lines a the traditional green starting line nothing before those lines can be reached once you start at lower point cost or AE.
Page 10 of the 2012 rulebook: "A character with multiple starting lines can’t be healed beyond the starting line that it began with in a particular game"
Some characters are listed with a number
of choices for their point value. When there
are additional choices, the point values will be
red, blue, or yellow and there will be a starting
line corresponding to that color on the dial.
Some characters have an additional orange
point value and starting line. Orange is not a
starting line that can be used when assigning a
character to you force, though it is considered
a starting line for the following purposes:
• When you choose to play a character
at a certain starting line, that is the
character’s only starting click.
• A character can never be healed
past its starting line.
• Any other starting lines and associated point
values are ignored for game purposes.

I have read it front to back, actually, back surprise surprise, I didn't retain 100% with 100% accuracy. Sometimes I have questions because my mind is only human, and I haven't been playing for more than four months so I haven't had the rules burnt into my brain from years of playing that only serious memorization could accomplish if I wanted to do it in a short time period, and I really don't care to. I have read it all and for 95% of it would feel pretty confident about, but sometimes I have a question I never bothered to ask myself before, and/or glazed over when reading the rulebook.
God you guys can be such pricks sometimes.
And to see an 'Orange' bandwagoning on the being a prick is unbelievable. You're here to help, not condescend and assume instead of asking and helping when answering questions or just posting in general.

Reason: Wow 'Orange'

Nberp wasn't being snarky (I was though). If people would just read the rulebook before asking a question, 9.5 times out of 10, the answer is right there. He was just commenting on how lazy people are and I agree with him.
Edit: I also just looked at the OP's signature and now realize why he'll probably never really comprehend the rules all that well.

I would've thought that you would be thanking them for pointing out that this was in the rulebook. Most questions can easily be answered by reading the Rulebook, PAC, or Players Guide. You simply could have answered your own question by looking in the rulebook.
