Give this character a move action; it may only move along a straight horizontal or vertical path and it can't change its orientation. After actions resolve, make a close combat attack as a free action that targets all opposing characters that were moved through. Each hit character is dealt this character's damage value and deal this character 1 unavoidable damage for each 100 points of characters dealt damage during the movement.
This ability is pretty straight forward, however I did have one question. The Batmobile is on a 3x6 base (EDIT muncho has confirmed that the base is 2x4, not 3x6). Could it use the Ram ability and move "sideways"?
The comment on the preview makes it sound like you wouldn't be able to:
"(Easy enough: go straight in the direction the vehicle is pointing and it can’t turn.)"
However, I don't really see anything in the text preventing you from doing that.
Also, in general, there is nothing forcing the vehicle to start movement the way it is facing, correct? It moves just like any other character?

Q#1a: You can mind control an opposing character, and use a free action to have them become the Pilot of your car?
Q#1b: The owner of the character would loose control of the character while off the map, and if it is the last character on the opposing character's team then the game ends when they are off the map, correct?
Q#2: The effects listed on the Batmobiles card are references to rules and such right? and not "Combat Abilities" right?
For example, pulsewaving a Vehicle would not cause the vehicle to not becoming an Ultra Heavy Object upon it's death, or returning the Pilot to the map?
I am assuming no, only RAM is a new combat ability.
And the Steering Wheel defense symbol has no combat Abilities Inherently attached to it?(Opinion: honestly it should have indomitable, it doesn't get tired!)
Articles are not, strictly speaking, rules documents.
Since Heroclix has no "facing", there is no such thing as "the direction the vehicle is pointing" as far as the rules are concerned.
In other words, so long as the path is a straight line vertically or horizontally on the map, that is fine for Ram.
I know the articles are not rules text, and your response is what I assumed, but I don't know who wrote the article. For all I know, they know the intent of the power and are unintentionally exposing how the power does not match intent.
I guess my point is that it would be nice if the articles did not imply things about powers, but we don't live in a perfect world and I know you (Normalview) and the other deputies don't have any control over the figure preview articles.

Yeah, that stuff is just rules text that will end up in the next rulebook, if not on the growing PAC.

There is nothing in the rules as of yet stating you cannot.

Correct.

They mention them as Combat Abilities, so that is where they will likely end up. That said, Pulse Wave does not target objects and would therefore not target a vehicle that has become one.

As of right now, No it does not. But again, the abilities listed might show up on the PAC as abilities that are granted by that symbol.

Actually, I see no reason why the following clarification for replacement characters wouldn't carry over to Vehicles, too.
Who Can Replace Figures?
One line is being added to the rulebook to cover some oddball situations. As of today, you are only allowed to replace characters if the original character is from your original force. No more using Mind Control to force a replacement on your opponent – sorry!

I have read that article already. But I was just thinking that if they stopped being friendly that they would eject as it were. I can see how it is similar to Merge/Split.

Is becoming a pilot a form of character replacement?
It doesn't seem like it. At least not as it's currently worded. It just says place the figure on the vehicle's card. But there is no switching going on.
Though it wouldn't' be hard for them to alter the rules slightly to correct this.
If Wolverine from GSX or WOS was driving the Batmobile (awesome) and it used his combat values would he heal after actions resolved or not cause he is off the map?

When a character is removed from the map, you ignore all powers and abilities of that character unless there is a game effect that specifically says otherwise.

So we no longer have perma effects because the effect didn't say when it ended?

From the PG (and this has been there for awhile):
Battle Map Removal
Characters that are removed from the battle map are not affected by Battlefield Conditions.
Characters that are removed from the battle map are not affected by game effects that characters on the battle map use (unless it says otherwise).
Characters that are removed from the battle map may not use their own powers, abilities, or feats except as stipulated by the effect removing them from the battlefield.
