Batman begins play with a trait, Flock of Bats, which plays into his analysis that criminals are a superstitious cowardly lot who are fearful of the image of a bat.# To use Flock of Bats, give Batman a free action to attach an adjacent Flock of Bats to his base or remove an attached Flock of Bats and place it in an adjacent square.# When a Flock of Bats is attached, Batman can use its special power but the flock does not return to your starting area after the special power is used. Wow! These characters have some of the most creative and coolest powers I've seen in a long time! This set is looking great! Hope it will be the best set yet!
Let's Play "Whoizzit?"

The biggest gripe about HSS is its auto-breakaway and now they are adding it to more figures.
The fact they give Bats an above attack value with the ability to often injure figures with damage reducers (vie Outwit or EW or 3+ damage) while retaining everything else is classic WK poor design. They really don't get balance at all - which is weird as its been discussed here ad nauseam.
When you add something you MUST take away something for it to be balanced. If you take a standard Batman and give him a whole bunch of additional pluses while giving him NO minuses, he becomes unbalanced.
I can't argue "Improved Movement" doesn't make a figure much better just as makes every figure much better.
WK might as well give all figures Improved Movement, & because those figures without such abilities are at a huge disadvantage. + Charge is great but if Batman can Charge off elevated to get to you, or breakaway from tie-up pieces, or jump over blocking terrain then his Charge is vastly superior to those figures without it.
And this further diminishes the value of positioning and the roll of the cheap tie-up figure.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't water count as hindering for movement purposes?
Either way, you can't use L/C with Charge, so the Improved Movement wins based solely on that IMO.
While we all know the Water=Hindering terrain for movement. Water still has it's own Light Blue Square thingy now. So while Bats improved ability let's him ignore 'Green Square Thingy" it doesn't let him ignore the independant "Blue Square Thingy". So technically water is his BANE.
Now we know how it should work, And it will work that way. But until an RA states it for a fact, or it's added to the player's guide that "Green Square Thingy" = Light Blue Square Thingy" Both improved movements and Leap Climb could be interpreted as not ignoring Water. As has been ruled by a few judges around town, and here online.
All I'm saying is if your gonna have and use all these new symbols, Use them all. Would printing a Blue Square on his card have really been that much harder to do? If you're not going to use a symbol, Why make it. Nothing out there right now or that's been previewed uses the "Light Blue Square Thingy" So why have it if it doesn't mean anything, or is covered under the "Green Square thingy"?
