While we are getting the "I dunno how many'est" version of HULK, Spidey, Wolverine and Daredevil there are still oh so many more or less popular characters out there that are still waiting impatiently for their Heroclix debut.
Here comes...ROM THE SPACEKNIGHT.

Rom the Space Knight first appeared in Rom, Spaceknight #1 (Dec. 1979) and was created by Bill Mantlo and Sal Buscema.
The robot (keyword) cyborg ROM hails from the planet Galador where he defated the alien invaders known as the Dire Wraiths.
Rom’s armor was composed of the Galadorian metal plandanium which makes him nearly invulnerable. The armor also has self-repair capabilities and grants ROM both flight and superstrength.
His main weapon is the Neutralizer which either teleports the target into limbo (only leaving some rubble behind), neutralizes a target's powers or can be a deadly raygun. Two more important pieces of equipment is the Analyzer which allows him to detect the target's true form and the Universal Translator.
Therefore possible powers for ROM might be:
Destroy all Dire Wraiths! - running shot Neutralizer setting 1 - Place the hit target in its corresponding starting area and give it an action token if possible (applying pushing damage normally). Place a hindering terrain marker in the square it occupied. Neutralizer setting 3 - penetrating/psychic blast Galadorian power servos - superstrength Plandanium armor - invulnerability Repair program commencing - regeneration Neutralizer setting 2 - outwit Universal Translator - perplex
Analyzer - Rom ignores shapechange.
Spider-Man TA
Let's see your ideas for his dial and the various powers of his Neutralizer weapon.
I'll see you in another two weeks when we take a look at another unclixed character...

i have made many dials for him over the years, but as has already been said, Marvel doesnt own the character and there will never be a ROM made in clix (the folks who do own the rights are a bunch of *&&^%$# @#^$*)
the best we can hope for is the other Space Knights from the series and of course Ikon the new one
It's amazing how this keeps coming up every six months or so. More amazing is how some who claim to have read Rom don't know he was a toy released one year that failed horribly. He was the only character, he wasn't very posable, he was too large to use with the 4" action figures of the time, and he required lots of battery replacements.
I liked the comic as well, but the only way you'll ever see him is if one of you does a Kickstarter to buy the rights for Wizkids to make him from the toy company that made him. It's out of Marvel's hands.

It's actually one Guy, Bing McCoy, the creator of the toy, that is so disappointed with the failure of the toy that he wants nothing more done with it ever....sadly
my brother had the toy (and it was pretty damn cool) and so he got the comic and was easily the best marvel toy comic (although micronauts was real close..and sectaurs was pretty good too)

Analyzer : Rom ignores Shape Change and Super Senses. Neutralizer settings: Before ROM makes a ranged combat attack, but not when using Ranged Combat Expert, you can choose one of the following options for the attack: 1) ROM's damage value is reduced by one and this attack deals penetrating damage.; 2) ROM's damage value is 0; if the attack succeeds, put the target in that character's starting area, and put a debris token in the square it previously occupied. 3) The hit character's powers are countered until the start of your next turn. Self Repair Systems: ROM can use regeneration, if he has two action tokens at the start of a turn he may use regeneration as a free action.
I gave him indom, b/c almost every robot Marvel clic has indom.

Nicely done...now how about Raak the Breaker, Unam the Unseen, Plor Pulsar, Vera the Trapper, Skera the Scanner, Firefall, Starshine, Terminator (pre-Rom conversion) and all the others...seriously.
Well, I AM pretty awesome.
An understanding of the law of large numbers leads to a realization that what appear to be fantastic improbabilities are not remarkable at all but, merely to be expected.
I had to go Wiki the character. I remember thinking he was pretty cool when I ran across him in one of the old Marvel Universe Handbooks from the 80s, but didn't know anything about the history of the character. Funny that the comic totally eclipsed the toy it was licensed from.
What abilities did the Dire Wraiths have besides shape-change? Was there anything else defining about them?
