Just got done watching the world champ video and have a question about Morgan Le Fay. At the turn beginning 7:43, the champ did not declare a power (combat reflexes/energy shield). At 9:59 when asked if she has combat reflexes he replies yes. This sucked hard for the opponent because he actually hit the roll if it wasn't for this misstatement.
Had this been caught by the judge, what should have happened?
ASTRAL FORM FADE: Morgan Le Fay can use Toughness. At the beginning of your turn, choose either Combat Reflexes or Energy Shield/Deflection. Morgan Le Fay can use the chosen power until your next turn.

Seeing as how two of us were sitting right there, I can assure you it was "caught". However, WK practices passive judging at tournaments (many, many long discussions over the merits or problems with this have been discusses elsewhere... for now, just accept that is the way it is for purposes of this discussion) and it would have been up to the opponent to say, "I don't think you did that right... Judge, can I get a ruling?"
If he had said that, the ruling would have been "No choice was made at the beginning of the turn. Morgan has neither ES/D or CR right now." Keep in mind that this power is not optional (no "may" in the description) so it was techinically the responsibility of both players to catch that mistake at the beginning of the turn... if it could ever be shown that a player knowing let the other player not do something that was required, he could be DQ'd.
I'm not going to say the champ cheated. But if the Judge notices that he is claiming the use of a power not allotted to him, you are saying he says nothing?
Shame the challenger missed it and the champ misspoke. 4 clicks of damage to Morgan that early in the game would have been a huge game changer. No more phasing, no combat reflexes, weaker damage. Ouch.

Where in the power description does it say that you must declare verbally what power Morgan is using?

Keep in mind he still had PC he could have used even with Scarlet Witch blocked.
