I want these clixed: Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Tarzan, The Shadow, The Green Hornet & Kato, Conan, Solomon Kane, The Phantom, King Kong, Universal Monsters, Black Orchid, Manhunter (Paul Kirk), Xemnu the Titan, unclixed Kirby Fourth World characters, and Lilith, Daughter Of Dracula.
Not an overly impressive bunch with only two songs I'd probably listen to without changing stations.
Triggerfinger – Fuzzy! I never heard them before, but I really like this. Melodic with a nice thrumming riff. Reminds me of BRMC.
BTO - I always dug the jangly guitar intro and then the rhythmic percussion that accompanies the melody. Back in the 70s I got this album from Columbia House record club…I think they still want me to pay more than the penny I taped to the post card.
Ryan Adams – Not really my cup of tea. It’s not bad, but I don’t think I’d purposely put this on ever again.
Zebrahead – pop punk rock that climbs out of the California 90s scene. It was okay, didn’t wow me. I bet they have much better stuff than this.
Gordon Lightfoot – Gordon is always hit or miss for me. Poor guy always gets lumped in incorrectly (with a few others) as singer/songwriters. They always forget to add in storyteller. This is a good story, but he’s missing his usual good melody and strong chorus.
Emily Finch – Barely better than Ryan Wayland…barely.
Ryan Wayland - Soon as I heard the first couple of bars I thought, I'm going to like this. The rest of the song didn't disappoint. I like the bare bones instrumentation, the bluesy vocals, real standout here.
Ryan Adams - Not sure if you'd classify this one as Country-Rock or Rocking Country, but either way I liked the tune a lot.
Zebrahead - I have my preferences and my prejudices, and anything that's punk-anything is generally pretty low on my list, but then every once in a while I surprise myself. I enjoyed this one.
Bachman Turner Overdrive - Just a great fun classic rock anthem. Perhaps a little overplayed.
Triggerfinger - Wouldn't be the top of my list, but I can listen to it.
Gordon Lightfoot - I generally like the acoustic style, but this particular song didn't do that much for me.
Emily Finch - Female artists generally get a few points with me on that alone. Sexist? I don't know. Maybe I just like listening to women's vocals. But this song was just so bland and uninteresting. Maybe if the video was better quality, it might have improved the rating a little, but I doubt it.
Sorry - it took a couple of days to get through all of these songs. And now, without further ado:
1.) BTO - still a classic. still a rocker!
2.) Triggerfinger - wow. quite a nice surprise. Never heard of this group but I really liked this song. Gonna go back and listen to more...
3.) Gordon Lightfoot - still golden after all these years
--------------------------------------------------------------
4.) Ryan Wayland - borderline as to whether or not I'd ever want to hear it again. But I might not turn off the radio if I heard it come on.
5.) Ryan Adams - ugh. not good. For this I would turn off the radio
6.) Zebrahead - for this I'd kick the person out of the car who tuned the radio to it in the first place
7.) Emily Finch - I hope that was a free concert. I'd have beaten my money back outta somebody.
May all your hits be crits!
On the whole, human beings want to be good — but not too good, and not quite all the time. - George Orwell
I've lost internet connectivity at home, so haven't had a chance to enjoy this one. I hope I just have a loose cable somewhere, and apologize for being slow. If it stays open a couple of days, I hope to get on these! Thanks.
2) Triggerfinger - This was so good it almost knocked the BTO boys off the top perch.
3)Ryan Adams - I don't listen to him much but didn't mind this at all.
4) Gordon Lightfoot - Pretty good stuff from this old timer.
5) Emily Finch - Not sure why everybody's hatin' this. It sounded pretty good to me.
6) Zebrahead - Not a favorite but I wouldn't switch stations.
7) Ryan Wayland - This is the only one I didn't really like.
I want these clixed: Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Tarzan, The Shadow, The Green Hornet & Kato, Conan, Solomon Kane, The Phantom, King Kong, Universal Monsters, Black Orchid, Manhunter (Paul Kirk), Xemnu the Titan, unclixed Kirby Fourth World characters, and Lilith, Daughter Of Dracula.
1. Ryan Adams - Definitely up my alley. I could listen to this again. He's usually "hit or miss" for me, but this was "hit".
2. Ryan Wayland - Nice and Bluesy, had me tapping my feet, but I wouldn't care if I heard it again or not.
3. Gordon lightfoot - listenable.
4. Triggerfinger - Too much like "Queens of the Stone Age".
5. Emily Finch - I was waiting for the drummer to play something.
6. Bachman Turner Overdrive - eh, This just makes me remember how campy the 70s was/is.
7. Zebrahead - Wow, their new singer is pretty bad.
Are you someone who's had their username changed by any chance?

I liked most of these and my first four choices are pretty enjoyable, The first three could really be ranked in almost any order; I really like all three a lot. Ryan Wayland is defintely fourth. Gordan Lightfoot was worth listening to once, and I didn't care much for the last two.
1- Bachman Turner Overdrive- Just a great, smooth, rockin tune.
2- Triggerfinger- Never heard of them, but a pretty cool song!
3- Ryan Adams- I really like this. I think its a song that Marshall Tucker Band could have also done well. Laid back, but with just a little edge.
4- Ryan Wayland- Quirky, fun. The more I listen, the more it grows on me.
5- Gordon Lightfoot- A legend, and I enjoyed listening, but not a favorite.
6- Zebrahead- Not a favorite band, fine, but for me becomes a bit boring.
1. Triggerfinger - Never heard it before, but overall I enjoyed it.
2. Gordon Lightfoot - A bit odd hearing this live (as I dont know the original), but I did enjoy it as I like GLs voice overall.
3. Bachman Turner Overdrive - It was OK, an enjoyable, though nothing special, tune.
4. Ryan Wayland - Another OK-ish song.
5. Ryan Adams - An OK-ish, though nothing special, song for me.
6. Emily Finch - I think the live version hurts this one for me, as is, its nothing special.
7. Zebrahead - Absolutely nothing special, or enjoyable, on this one for me.

1. Bachman Turner Overdrive --- by wiiiiiide margin.
2. Ryan Adams -- can see me listening to this in the car.
3. Gordon Lightfoot --- if not for BTO, he had a shot at the top slot with me. I'm funny that way. And sentimental, too.
4. Triggerfinger -- well, O.K., depending on my mood they could jump a slot or two.
5. Zebrahead -- I like them better than either of the next two.
6. Ryan Wayland --- Meh. Sorry. Hope he's not somebody's cousin here.
7. Emily Finch --- no unkind remarks. Dunno, maybe I hadda be there. Or hear a studio version. But as it is, much as I wanna like anything by somebody with a name like "Emily Finch," I just...can't...like...this.
Tim Burton was right: "A square jaw does not a Batman make." Steve Buscemi as the next Batman! Luke Perry as Joker! Let's make it happen!
Looks like everybody's weighed in that's going to so we just need VG9 to do the numbers.
