BATTLEFIELD PROMOTION: Steve: When Steve hits one or more opposing characters, after actions resolve, place a Promotion Token on his character card. You may then roll a d6 that can't be rerolled and add 1 for each Promotion Token on his character card; on a result of 8 or higher, you may replace this character with Super Steve on the same click number.
If you had , could you get two promotion tokens in one turn for successfully hitting two targets? Or do you only get one promotion token per action when you successfully hit with an attack roll?
Curious, I am.
Catch me if you can, I'm with the Joker Gang! Run, Run as fast as you can. I'm the Joker Man!
You would only get one. It is only checking to see if you hit a character, otherwise it would say place a token for each hit character.

MisterId's right. if it said "for each hit character place..." then you'd be right. multiple targets will just allow you better chances to hit.
But correct me if i'm wrong... if you had a way to Mind Control friendlies... like oh Compel...
Which is a good question. what if my White Queen is Mind Controlled and hit... she'd probably get a token right? I'm guessing most of these guys won't EVER get MC'ed huh? don't want to risk it...

That won't work, Compel does not make the character Opposing. The power specifically states "hits one or more opposing characters"

if i use compel on my White Queen to blast your Juggernaut, who is opposing, that wouldn't add a token?
Several things...
Compel allows you to use Mind Control on a Friendly Character.
If I Mind Control Your White Queen that has Compel on it, I would not be able to use Compel.

A character that is targeted with Mind Control cannot use any game elements assigned to it during force construction during the Mind Control action.
Even if I was able to use compel, at the time I would be using it, Both White Queen and Juggernaut would be friendly and would not get a token.

I think you're misunderstanding. He means White Queen is being Compelled to hit another opposing character.
Here's a better example. Marvel 10th Hulk, on his opening click, smacks an enemy. Then, GG Mole Man mind controls him to attack and hit, again. Hulk would be given two Promotion Tokens in a single turn.

Oh, well then Yes. It would be a separate action.

Same, it is a separate action and therefore activate to give another token.

Yup Kyuzo got it. I thought I was pretty clear in saying "i use Compel on my White Queen to blast your Juggernaut"???
Probably should have said "If i have my Mind Controller who has the Compel feat attached to them use Mind Control on my White Queen, to make a ranged combat attack on your Juggernaut who is an opposing figure..."
